Morning Mick, morning all.

It is pouring in North Leicestershire as it has been most of the night.

Not much going on here today (thank goodness) just recovering from the weekend visitors.

Enjoy your Mondays everyone! sunshine

Morning Mick and all the other Earlybirds.

Wet, grey and miserable in the Thames Valley.

Going back to Keep Fit after a few months break due to health issues. It's now our never. Feeling a bit wobbly.

Busy week ahead. No doubt it is the same for you folks. Gone are the days when granny sat in the rocking chair with her knitting. grin

NanKate Mon 25-Sep-17 07:04:01

Just read your post Kitty maybe you will be in the rocking chair taking it quietly.

We are on a walking holiday in Church Stretton but today's our day off so we're off to Ludlow sightseeing. Hope it stays fine!

Nana3 Mon 25-Sep-17 07:09:01

Good morning, it's grey and damp in Lancashire. I need to get the car cleaned inside and out. Seems wrong getting on with such things.
DD came with me to see Mum yesterday, probably the last time she will see her.
All the best for Monday everyone.

Gagagran Mon 25-Sep-17 07:13:32

Morning all! It feels cooler and is certainly wetter here on the south coast.

Lovely family meal to celebrate our "sweet sixteen" eldest DGD yesterday. Feel very blessed to have these occasions.

Can I join you in a quiet day today kitty?

Wishing happy days for all GNs. sunshine

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Grey and wet in South Yorkshire. Woke up with a bit of a medical panic this morning. Hope I can get a GP appointment otherwise it's A&E!! Happy days.

Morning All

Am I in the same country? It's a lovely sunny morning in the north of Norfolk with a just a bit of high cloud. Perhaps the rain is on the way, although there's no wind to bring it.

If it stays fine we may take a picnic and go for a chug down the river in our little boat. Fingers crossed.

Hope all is well Duster.

Good morning everyone from wet Birmingham. Hope all is ok Greyduster and so sorry Nana3 I am in a very similar position.

cornergran Mon 25-Sep-17 08:01:37

Morning All. Bit grey and gloomy overhead but forecast is reasonable. More walking this morning then a bit of shopping. Trying to keep knee movement going. Hope all's well greyduster, what have you been up to? I remember that situation well, nana3, and t&c, it's a very difficult time. Hope Monday is kind to everyone.

Nelliemoser Mon 25-Sep-17 08:03:14

Good Morning all. Grey and "trying to rain" here in Cheshire.

Nothing more interesting for me today other than having my ears syringed this morning. (TMI for this time of morning really. ) grin

I really wonder what has happened to all the drops I have been putting in over the last two weeks though. where do they go to? wink

whitewave Mon 25-Sep-17 08:06:34

Morning Mick and all

Dull, damp but not raining. Very mild.

Beginning the autumn clear up. So taking summer pots apart and saving what I can for next year. I've ordered the spring stuff of tulips etc so will plant them probably in November.

Enjoy your day one and all.

harrigran Mon 25-Sep-17 08:21:04

Good morning from cloudy #Colchester. Warm and dry though after a glorious sunny Sunday.
Walking Netball this morning.
Seems that many of us need ((hugs)) today.

Nana3 Mon 25-Sep-17 08:52:34

Thank you cornergran.
Tea and cake flowers

Good morning from the south east. Such a gloomy old day after brilliant wall to wall sunshine yesterday when we drove to the beach and walked along the fairly crowded sands of West Wittering, stopping for coffee and cake in Haslemere on the way home, perfect day smile Today I shall tackle some ironing, do any food shopping that needs to be done and go to the gym.

Mapleleaf Mon 25-Sep-17 09:00:38

Morning,all.
A very damp, grey morning here. Doesn't look too promising for the rest of the day.
Hope you are ok greyduster.
flowers Nana3 and tea and cake - a sad and difficult time.

Nelliemoser Mon 25-Sep-17 09:03:17

whitewave. I am doing the same in my garden, getting ready for winter. All annual bedding plants out and I have been dumping the spent compost onto the garden soil as "soil improver. "
My garden has very fine dust sandy soil, it needs all the fibre it can get .

ginny Mon 25-Sep-17 09:06:48

Good morning. Sitting by the pool in the sun - 25 c. However, I am on Santorini. Back to what sounds like a damp and chilly Britain tomorrow.

Thank you for your messages. I have to think that my mum is very old ( very late 90s), well cared for and has had the life she wanted. If she isn't the same as she was, it's not a tragedy in her eyes, just sad for the rest of us. She was relatively fit and healthy not all that long ago so she has had a good innings (as my late father in law would have said). She still recognises us but is getting increasing frail and confused. But happy and that's all that matters. Xxx to everyone.

JaneD3 Mon 25-Sep-17 10:20:55

Morning all from a soggy Leicester.
Love to Nana3 and Tea and Cake. Off to see my mum today, who may wake up and may know who I am. Some days are better than others but she has been on end of life funding for so long, the NHS have withdrawn the payments. You can only have 6 weeks to die apparently.
Ho hum!

Smithy Mon 25-Sep-17 10:33:44

Good morning to all and hope for a better day for those with ongoing problems.
Wet and grey in this part of the NE - Shame as I had today earmarked for sorting out the back garden, emptying container plants and putting in pansies. Also got a heather and a little Hebe too put in my miniature rockery in the front garden (its about the size of a postage stamp!).
Been sorting out slightly warmer clothes (too early for jumpers)
