Good morning Mick and everyone, wet overnight, dry now but windy in Lancashire.
More house clearing today, grandchildren coming this evening, they'll cheer me up. Cottage pie for tea.
Have a good Friday.

Morning Mick, morning Nana3, morning all.

We have a soggy moggy on the bed so I think it must be raining and I can hear the wind.

Preparing for DD2 and Co's arrival later. It is the Annual Street fair and they come every year and go round with our other children and their families.

Enjoy your days everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Heavy dark grey cloud, windy, and frost on the car in South Yorkshire, but I think it might clear a bit later. DH is struggling with a horrible cold, which makes me feel guilty about taking myself off to York today and leaving him. I hope he’ll stay in bed (after he has run me down to the tram stop!!). Have a good day folks.

Gagagran Fri 10-Nov-17 07:04:31

Morning all from a grey but dry morning (so far) here on the south coast.

Sad news for Maw . I am sure GNs will rally to her support as they always do for friends in need.

WI for me this morning - my first since finishing my term as President so it will feel a bit odd!

Have as good a day as you can GNs. sunshine

Morning All

A chilly clear day in Norfolk with a stiff breeze, and a pink tinge which doesn't bode well for tomorrow.

Just popped into Soop's Kitchen when I saw the posts above about Paw. So sad.

I'm off to art class this morning while DH makes a big stew for DD1 and family who're descending this evening for the weekend. The door on our woodburner jammed last night so I'll have to phone to get a man in for that first. DH doesn't do phone calls.

Morning all.

Yet another grey day in Kent. I've been dozing in a chair since 5.30 a.m. leaving H in peace as I have rotten chesty cough.
I haven't read Maw's news but will add my sympathy.

cornergran Fri 10-Nov-17 07:42:32

Morning All. Grey, windy and damp in our corner of Somerset. So very sad for our maw. Need to get the car to the garage soon, then a food shop, family coming for tea, be good to have their company. nfk. What is it with men and phone calls? Mr C has been going to phone a plumber for two weeks, I’m giving in today and making the call. Take care everyone.

Morning Mick Kitty and Crew.

Sorry to hear the news of Paw flowers

Enjoy your street party Kitty

How wonderful catching a tram Greyduster or were you joking ?

Last full day of entertaining my sister on her annual holiday with me. We have laughed, cried, reminisced and eaten too much with plenty of wine, however it will be good to get our home back to ourselves tomorrow. I need to recover and eat less ?

Good morning from a bright but very windy north east. Will have to rescue the bins as soon as the wagon has been otherwise they will be halfway to town.
Another sad day on GN.

Mapleleaf Fri 10-Nov-17 08:28:20

Morning all,
It's sunny and breezy here at the moment. The heating is on so I'm guessing it will be chilly outside.
Got a lot of tidying and throwing out to do today - so much "stuff" and nowhere to put it!!
Sorry to hear your sad news Maw.

Greyduster Fri 10-Nov-17 09:08:17

No, NanKate not joking. Supertram from down the road to right outside the railway station. Not like the trams of childhood memory though!

Marydoll Fri 10-Nov-17 09:13:42

Good morning all. I'm so sad to hear Maws news.
Quite miserable here this morning.
Couldn't sleep, so got up early, made leek and potato soup and iced gingerbread.
DH and I off out for lunch in Glasgow. We never had our Ruby wedding lunch together last month due to various family commitments, so we have decided to go today, although DH has a stinking cold.sad We are still planning a family celebration, but can't find a date that suits all our children.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Pittcity Fri 10-Nov-17 10:29:10

Morning all from a train in Essex. On way into London for an Air Cadet presentation shout an expedition to Iceland that DH went on.
Weather is blustery but bright.
So sad to hear about Paw and have sent virtual hugs to Maw via Soop's kitchen.
