Good morning Mick. I think it's similar weather here on the south coast.

I have a hair appointment this morning - much needed too - and will call at the Farm Shop too. They sell wonderful eggs and bread.

We have DH's cycling club lunch and prize-giving tomorrow and he is in line for a prize so I am glad we are fit enough to go after the lurgy seems to have packed its bags and left.

Hope the day is a good one for all GNs sunshine

Good morning mick and everyone. Dawn is just about breaking and it's looking damp in Lancashire. A quiet day in for me I think, OH and DGD going to football.
Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick, gaga, all.

It's cold but dry in North Leicestershire. We have DD1 and Co here for linchpin today. A rare treat as we see them often but mostly only in passing, so to speak.

Enjoy your prize giving lunch, gaga, glad the lurgy has departed.

Morning Nana3!

Morning All

Still, grey and dry in Norfolk. Rain expected later though - maybe even snow.

We're going away for a few days next week so I suppose I should sort out what to take!

Good Mick and all.
It's so icy here that DH had to leave his car in another street last night, now we can't get to it. The roads and pavements are like a skating rink. We couldn't get to the hospital last night, as police were warning people not to travel.
We were supposed to look after DGD overnight, to allow mum and dad to go to a gin tasting.wine, but that's cancelled due to weather. sad
Fortunately, we shopped yesterday, just in case, we were stuck in.
A good excuse to catch up on all the chores I haven't found time to do this week. Hopefully we will have a thaw later, to enable us to do hospital visiting.
Have a love weekend everyone.

Good morning Mick and all

Dry and cold here so far. Fingers crossed the new tree chap does actually come and look at our tree problem. Don’t you hate it when people promise to do something but let you down? Otherwise, I’ll be gathering a whole pile of things I’ve been keeping for my son since he left home - he’s finally asked for them! I’ve moved five times since then so it will be a relief to hand them over.

Have a good day everyone.

Some of us have been on the go since 6.30
Guess who has DGCs staying over!
The boys were happy playing in their room until 7 and I let DGD into bed with me for a book but since then it’s all hands on deck!
Snatching 10minutes for my shower while they watch Ballerina
Oh and (grr) it is tipping it down here. Craft morning then not tiring them out with a kick around (SIL3, not me!)
How long till bedtime?

Greyduster Sat 20-Jan-18 08:36:37

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A cold, grey one in South Yorkshire, but my little ray of sunshine is here until later so I expect we will be guided by what he wants to do today. He wants to make his mum a birthday cake hmm.....
Have a good day folks!

Good morning all

Good morning from a cold, wet Colchester.
Indoors weekend finishing off the bedroom decorating. I am the one who cleans up after the "men" have finished!

harrigran Sat 20-Jan-18 08:40:30

Good morning, still icy cold and snow remains and another covering overnight.
I have not been out since Wednesday, better in the house than slipping and breaking something.

Nelliemoser Sat 20-Jan-18 08:43:34

Good Morning All. I have been lounging in my chair reading my library book.
I must now make the Marmalade. It is more or less ready for the boil up but I am not going to make it while I am still in my dressing gown.

cornergran Sat 20-Jan-18 08:50:38

Morning All. Damp and grey in our corner of Somerset. The plan is to file or shred the paper mountain today. I foresee a sore back and a very grumpy corner. Keep warm and well everyone.

appygran Sat 20-Jan-18 09:07:16

Thought I would pop in to wish you all a good morning as I have just returned to gransnet after a break. I think I would call it mizzly in Chester. Misty, drizly and dull.

Off for a walk to the local shops shortly. Hope I can find a jar of mincemeat somewhere as granddaughter has requested my fruity mincemeat cake. Will make that later and then some sewing, reading, tv watching - generally mooching for the rest of the day. Hope you all have a good day.

Good Morning all

Welcome back appygran.

Grey, cold and wet here in The Black Country.

I am taking two DGD's to our yearly visit to the local Panto this afternoon!

Then this evening we are going out for a meal.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend

Good morning.
As Greyduster says, cold and grey here in South Yorkshire, just for a change!?
