Good Morning Michael and Good morning all ,
I think this is the first time ever I have posted straight after you.

Mick's Good Morning post always make me think of the Reverent Eli Jenkins reading his moring prayer as in Under Milk Wood. Nothing happens until he has said his prayer. Have a good day.

Morning Mick, morning all!

It is very cold but dry in North Leicestershire.

We are up and going very early this morning as we have 2 more dgc to collect this morning and then another 2 are joining us for tea. I might leave home till its safe to come back.

kittylester Mon 12-Feb-18 06:46:04

Morning Nellie! I agree about Mick's Good Morning.

Baggs Mon 12-Feb-18 06:47:07

Morning, folks! Fair bit of snow here this morning. Tawny owl just outside the bathroom window while I was in there. Hope my bus is running! Better get my mixpcrospikes on and head down the hill to the bus stop.

ninathenana Mon 12-Feb-18 06:52:26

Morning everyone.
Cold and dry in Kent, no frost though.
Nothing planned for today, except staying in the warm.

Marydoll Mon 12-Feb-18 07:01:03

Good morning all,
We have a fair bit of snow here and we have DGD today. It always seems to snow only on our child minding days.
I guess we will be out snowman building.
Baggs, I bet the views over you way will be spectacular.

Good Morning everyone.

Cold and icy this morning, have to scrap car soon so I can take Partner to train station. Then straight on to gym (if I don't I may come home and find good excuses not to go out again!)

A walk this afternoon with the Walking for Heath programme, so quite an active day to day!

I received my notification of State Pension on Friday, so I receive my first payment 16th March smile, only 4 1/2 years after I reached 60!

Have a good Monday all

Morning everyone! I think we are promised a sunny and breezy day here on the south coast and warming up later.

No half term duties for us for a change. DS and family are ski-ing in Les Arcs, DGS has gone on the overnight ferry to Le Havre with his Dad for a 3-day adventure using trains in northern France and DGD is going to work with DD, helping by envelope stuffing! Good work experience AND she will get paid so is chuffed.

It's laundry and chores here today and I might nip to the library to pick up a book I ordered.

Hope the day is a good one for all GNs especially those in loco parentis. sunshine

Morning All. Looks cold out there, definitely dry and getting brighter by the minute. Our corner of Somerset could be worse. Two extra little people today, not sure what we will do, out somewhere. Depends how tired they are, we have been warned about tiredness and an associated level of grump. Take care those who have snow, hope those with extras to entertain survive (thinking of kitty) and have fun. Stay warm and well everyone.

Morning All

Very cold, with a clear sky here in Norfolk. DS and family are travelling back from Lancaster today so I hope there's not too much snow that way. DS is longing for snow to play in as we keep missing it, but today is not the day!

We have to get back out into the garden to finish what we started yesterday. DH managed to dig up a cordyline which had got too big and bossy and the bay tree behind it also needs taking in hand. It has to be done now as there are a pair of robins indicating they fancy building a nest in there. I don't think we'll put them off, they're both very tame.

Morning Mick and all

Please don’t mention snow! I’m fed up with winter now, could someone arrange spring PDQ please? Thank you smile

Just tedious chores today. Changing beds, wrestling with duvet covers, more laundry, ho hum. Might treat myself to a trip to the supermarket just to add to the excitement.

Have a good one everybody.

Good morning, cold but dry here. Nothing planned for today but the washing basket is full so kitchen it is.

Pittcity Mon 12-Feb-18 08:18:31

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another bright frosty morning.
No Walking Netball today because our coach is injured.
Will get stuck into laundry etc. while DH is hospital visiting.

Newquay Mon 12-Feb-18 08:26:08

Layer of snow here in Staffs, blue sky and sunshine now so LOOKS lovely. Keep fit this morning, Will drive to door of lady I collect-hope can get in and out of her cul de sac on a hill-then will use different route to usual to stay on main roads. Local hospice shop is coming this afty to collect our 3 piece suite ready for delivery of new one tomorrow.
Will collect DGC from school and hear about their meeting their new cousin in Yorkshire over the weekend.

Greyduster Mon 12-Feb-18 09:33:24

A very late good morning to you, Michael, and all GNs. I had a broken night so DH let me sleep in. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire but it is not melting the ice on the road yet. It was bitterly cold last night with flurries of snow. Not much planned for today but I have to pick up a book from the library at some stage so hope the weather stays benign. Have a good day folks.

Mapleleaf Mon 12-Feb-18 09:41:48

Good morning, mick and all,
A bright but cold morning here. Nice to see the sun.
Coffee morning today then some chores when I get back.
Enjoy your day.

Sar53 Mon 12-Feb-18 10:02:59

Good morning from a sunny but very cold Midlands. My last day with DD1 and 3 DGD TIL I see them again at the end of March. I'm not feeling good today, very achy with a sore throat. Not looking forward to the long train journey home tomorrow.

Bellasnana Mon 12-Feb-18 10:03:16

Good morning all. It is cloudy and cold in Malta today.

I was woken early by a message from DD3, asking if I could take her to the doctor as she had had such a bad night, so my plans for a slow start to the day went by the wayside and I sprang into action. She has seen the doctor so here’s hoping the medication will speed her recovery,

Hope you all have a good day sunshine

Anniebach Mon 12-Feb-18 10:11:59

Good morning all. I am waiting for the upholsterer, having new seats on sofa to help me not be a banana

annodomini Mon 12-Feb-18 10:41:39

Good morning. We have a layer of snow this morning. After weeks of flurries when it never settled, overnight it has come again and stuck this time. It won't last, of course, but looks quite pretty on the garden which looks rather bare at the moment because I had all my big shrubs either cut back or removed two weeks ago. Now dying to get some colour into it. Will the snow clear from my car before I have to go out or do I have to get to work with the scraper?
