Good Morning Mick and everyone.

It's distinctly fresh here on the south coast and there is a cloud layer stopping the sun from coming through to warm things up.

Need a trip to the Garden Centre today but just pootling and faffing otherwise.

Hope the day is a good one for all GNs. sunshine

Morning Mick, Gaga and everyone.

Weather the same here round the coast in Kent gaga.
Food shopping and taking H to his gardening jobs.
Sad news our neighbours father died yesterday morning following a fall. They had his 90th birthday party booked for next week.

Good morning to you all. A real sleepyhead today, but I do know it’s rather brisk out there.

NanKate Tue 24-Apr-18 07:04:24

Morning Mick and All.

Back from a lovely few days in Dorset. Need to get the washing going and fill up the empty fridge and get back to normal.

I love this time of year with the light nights and warmer weather.

Morning All

Hang on to that weather NanKate. It’s overcast, chilly and a bit rainy in the north of Norfolk this morning.

Out to lunch with friends today. Hopefully the clouds will scud off and we’ll be able to sit out in the pretty, sheltered pub garden. And there we were thinking it was going to be too hot!

kittylester Tue 24-Apr-18 07:33:19

Morning all.

North Leicestershire is cooler and cloudy with a little rain in the forecast.

Into town first thing for volunteering and I was hoping to do more pot filling later - that looks unlikely.

I love getting back to normal Kate - filling the fridge etc.

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester with a little bit of rain in the air. Back to normal April weather.
Senior cinema today then.

Marydoll Tue 24-Apr-18 07:59:17

Morning all, cold and dreich here in Glasgow.
Off into town to try and get a watch face, which to replace the one I lost on holiday.
Have a good day all.

Greyduster Tue 24-Apr-18 08:03:22

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey and cool again today in South Yorkshire, with rain expected later. To the garden centre this morning to buy compost and try and keep my hands off the plants (no fun)! If it stays dry we will do some repotting. Have a good day folks!

MawBroon Tue 24-Apr-18 08:22:43

Good morning Mick and everybody. Off to a late start because that thing of being wide awake at 3or 4 in the morning has kicked in again. Back to the herbal Nytol I think.
Otherwise, a grey morning here in N Bucks and distinctly cooler.
I am still packing up the thickest of the winter woollies though for their annual holiday to the loft (and some to the charity shop along with the linen trousers which seem to have mysteriously shrunk while packed away confused )
Wishing you all a pleasant day!

Panache Tue 24-Apr-18 08:24:32

Good morning Mick and all.
Rain, rain, rain yet again here in our little Welsh corner but whose complaining? Thankfully when one has a home and that safe roof overhead we are the fortunate ones ........and there is always something to fill your day!!
Wishing each one of you a good and productive one.

harrigran Tue 24-Apr-18 08:31:27

Good morning, cloudy and windy.
Expecting delivery of two office chairs today, replacements for leather ones that did not wear well.

Lindylou23 Tue 24-Apr-18 08:38:42

Good morning all, off from work with chest infection and cough. Doctor calling it 100 day cough, I hope not !!!! Worn out

Situpstraight Tue 24-Apr-18 10:07:11

Good morning Mick and everyone. Raining here in The Vale of The White Horse.
Feel as though my limbs are too heavy today, so another day on the sofa waiting for the miraculous effects of the Steroids to kick in . Afraid our trip to Italy will have be cancelled.

However as Panache has said I am in a warm place with correct Meds and I have GN, FB, books and the TV to take my mind off of my ills.
Have a good day everybody.

NanKate Tue 24-Apr-18 10:38:43

Hope you feel better soon Situp. There's you waiting for the steroids to kick in and there's me trying to get off the steroids after almost 2 years.

After showing off about the weather being nice, it has clouded over and rain is due - 'Woe is me', as Frankie Howard used to say.

Yes Kitty I too like getting back to normal and especially clambering into our own bed with my Ipad and DH of course !!

Situpstraight Tue 24-Apr-18 12:45:02

Oh dear nan I’m only on them for 5 days and have now finished, I was hoping for the ‘high’ to get me to Italy and back, but as I’m not breathing too well at the moment I fear It won’t happen now. Good luck with coming off your pills, I assume you have to do it gradually?

NanKate Tue 24-Apr-18 16:10:09

Do hope you make your holiday in Italy Situp.

I am now down to 1mg a day and hope to give them the boot completely within a month. I have a self limiting illness call Polymyalgia Rheumatica which sometimes (Not always) burns itself out in 2 years. My 2 years is up next month. Steroids can be useful short term but have many side effects long term. Anyway I must stop now as this is not a health thread.

Would it be pushing your luck if I said Bon Voyage ?
