Good Morning Everyone,
Thanks for yesterdays birthday wishes, anyway its dry ,bright and sunny at the moment in brackley this morning, a long day for me as well off to see the Lion King at the Lyceum later on a organised trip.
Also yesterdays Chinese meal was good, but prior to leaving was told the person who runs the restaurant in Bicester , is giving up, they may not be open next week ,as new management and maybe a name change , may not do buffet lunches .
Mick

Morning Mick, morning All

It sounds as if your birthday celebrations are continuing today MIck Enjoy! (Its sad when a favourite eating spot changes, but they do. Regularly. Hopefully the new people will be just as good and continue with the same opening times.)

Its a lovely sunny clear sky morning here in Norfolk. A gardening day in the offing with new trellis bought yesterday to go up against the new fence and planting out to do.

Morning Mick, morning all!

What a shame about your restaurant Mick but at least you had your birthday meal there. You never know, the new one could be even better. Enjoy the Lion King.

It's a lovely bright start in North Leicestershire and we have some plants to get in but DH and I are both busy so it won't happen today.

Good Morning to you all!

A beautifully bright, fresh morning in Norwich.

Good morning.
Sunny start but the air is still cold at the moment.
Meeting up with a few G/ betters this morning.
Off to look at a camping show this afternoon with a view to buying a ‘posh’ windbreaker.
This evening is sewing group. DH is going to take his Mum shopping and do a few odd jobs for her and then has badminton . Busy day.

ninathenana Thu 03-May-18 07:23:46

Morning all.

It's brighter today in Kent with no wind, still a chill in the air.
Taking DS to a day centre today, fingers crossed he likes it. It's been so hard to find somewhere for him to socialise. This is only 10 mins away but his case manager has never mentioned it sad
Have a good day everyone

Good morning Mick, sunny and chilly here in VOWH.
I’ve been indoors for 10 days, so today might be the day for a potter around the village with DH. It’s good to breathe!

Have a good day everyone

harrigran Thu 03-May-18 07:42:37

Good morning, it is dry but cool here in the north.
No breakfast as I am off to the hospital for a gastroscopy in an hour.

Greyduster Thu 03-May-18 07:45:29

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Bad news about your Chinese restaurant, Mick. Our favourite one closed down. It is a very bright South Yorkshire morning, and we are going for a much needed walk later, then it’s school run. Have a good day, folks.

Greyduster Thu 03-May-18 07:46:21

Hope your hospital appointment goes well, harri.

Marydoll Thu 03-May-18 07:48:01

Good morning all, a little bit of sunshine here, but rain forecast for later.
I'm glad you had a nice day yesterday Mick, shame about your restaurant.

We have DGD today, but I have yet another hospital appointment. It has become quite complicated, as it's quite a long journey, but too painful to drive there for me and totally unsuitable to take a toddler, as the clinic always runs about two hours late. ☹️ Two trains and a bus are needed.
Papa will look after her, while I worry the whole time I'm away, despite the fact that he is the eldest of eight children and father of three, so is he more than capable of taking care of her. ?
Have a good day all.
Mx

Marydoll, can't you use volunteer transport? Dh drives for RVS, mainly taking people to hospital for appointments. He then waits and brings them home. It would probably be free but, even if you had to pay, the charge is around 50p permits.

Good luck Harri.

Good Morning all!

It's a lovely day here on the south coast although we had some frost on the car windscreen first thing. Fingers crossed we get a few nice days now. We have endured the prolonged winter long enough.

The supermarket was quiet apart from the order pickers with their huge chariots. I have never understood why they can't pick the orders in the warehouse instead of blocking the aisles. Hey ho.

Hope the day is a good one for all GNs sunshine

Marydoll Thu 03-May-18 08:23:43

Kitty, thanks, I never thought of that. Its a one off, as DH usually drives me.
Worth thinking about for the future.

Good Morning All. Signs of sunshine breaking through. in Cheshire.
I am off for a much needed hair cut this morning and then afternoon U3A play reading session.
I might fit some gardening in somewhere.

Panache Thu 03-May-18 08:32:46

Sunshine greetings to you Mick and my fellow Gransnetters.

Indeed the sunshine continues and it seems that cool breeze has also abated,so we can forsee a very busy weekend as our visitors head for our coast.

The Hospital trip, although long, proved successful with another SCC removed from my lower leg though the healing will be the greater problem.
The journey there and back, taking in the fresh new greenery of the trees and the rolling green pastures were a real joy and brought with it a great peace to one`s soul.

Of the 2 Garden centres visited only one was remotely interesting and even so had obviously been hit by the prolonged winter, and their new stock was not yet in,so we came away with a few lovely flowering house plants only, still that should lift the mood indoors!

Trusting this finer weather stretches far and wide whilst here`s wishing you all both a peaceful and productive day.

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. A bit chilly but dry at last.
Need to get out and clean the patio and tidy the garden again. A rhododendron in full bloom makes a big mess after a storm!

Anniebach Thu 03-May-18 08:46:15

Good morning all, sunshine in Mid Wales and for the weekend - Derek said ?

Luckygirl Thu 03-May-18 08:56:06

Mornin' all! Good luck to all with hospital appointments. Don't worry about the gastroscopy - it will be over before you know it.

I can see some blue sky today - wonder of wonders! The cherry trees in the wood behind us are just going over - boo hoo - they have been an amazing sight for the last few weeks. But the view of the hills is clearing slowly.

Off to lunch with a friend today, taking some music to look at. And I have to make DGS's birthday cake today.

Hope your days all go well.

TerriBull Thu 03-May-18 08:59:54

Good morning all, yay we have sunshine and it's expected to get steadily warmer towards the week-end.

Trip to the doctors this morning, followed by gym, sometime during the day we will go off to vote. One of my son's is staying the night so I will make a lasagne for dinner later.

NannyJan53 Thu 03-May-18 09:05:42

Good Morning all

Still chilly in The Black County, but the sun is trying to break through.

I am off on a mystery coach trip today with a group of friends, so fingers crossed for no rain at least. Forecast looks very good for the weekend though, so maybe get the BBQ out smile

Have a good day everyone.
