For some reason not looking forward to it this time (not that I ever do) hmm

Thought I would practice this morning and led on the cold kitchen floor half naked with a cold dinner plate resting the on the appropriate part lol

The Window Cleaner was most amused ..... smile

(by the way! there was no dinner on the plate) just in case you were wondering hmm

Horrid things but I always go.

I had one a month or so ago and found it not half so bad as in the early days. And it came back clear.

Hate them (mine are painful) but wouldn't miss it. Good luck.

Yes they are uncomfortable, with or without the dinner plate!
However, it is the one check up that I would never miss, several friends have been diagnosed by the mammogram. They had no other symptoms of BC.

J52, this has happened to my sister in law, BC picked up on mammogram, no symptoms and only 51. Worth having done. I will be 60 this year so will receive the pooper scooper, wasn’t going to do it but this has made me think again and I will do it.

lol done that Army smile
did end up going for a Colonoscopy even though the little package you get was clear.

Good luck bikergran I had mine done on Monday 4th. It didn’t hurt one bit this time and my results letter came this morning and I got the all clear. ✅

No problems at all with mammograms, I'm big breasted so does it make it better or worse discomfort wise? What I don't like are the others the smears, but luckily now I've reached the age when they no longer call you.

I have had loads of mammograms as I've had breast cancer twice, and I take Madonna's advice for when she gets her legs waxed, and this is to take painkillers beforehand. I also take the homeopathic remedy Arnica beforehand. All of this really helps.

Bluesky I don't believe in this case size matters.
I'm a "B" cup and have never found it painful.

It’s generally recognised that a mammogram is more uncomfortable if you have bigger boobs (B cup doesn’t count as large in my book). I never miss and am worried that now I approach 70 it will become harder to get one. Last time I had an ‘instant’ biopsy on an inverted nipple that proved clear.

Same here Humbertbear I'm approaching 70 and want to keep having mammograms after that age. Guess they'll give instructions at our last one? Is it really 20 years since that first invitation? confused

Ladies I’m 70 and wish to keep having mammograms, I rang the local breast screening service to ask and was told to ring a few months before I would normally be due to be called and they would be happy to give me an appointment.

In my Leaflet they are thinking of continuing trials of women under 50 and women over 70 in certain areas.

Humbert
That was my point, "B" cup is small.
