I’ve been in severe pain for 23 days now, awaiting more tests (colonoscopy, spine x-Ray, cystoscopy?) but wondering if any of you have experienced anything similar.
After a day of digging in the garden, I woke up next morning with a ‘toothache’ sort of pain in my left side (feels like 2” inside my waistline).
I wasn’t at home and over the next few weeks I talked to two pharmacists, and one video doctor, was sent to an A&E dept by him, went to a walk in clinic elsewhere, and finally home to see two GPs at my local practice.
Everyone has been extremely kind and concerned but no-one has any answers.
I’ve had all the usual blood tests (fine) blood pressure has been high because of the pain, I’m told. A scan showed early signs of diverticulosis but I’m told I’m not having an acute diverticulitis episode.
I’ve always been pretty stoical about pain which is why my family are so alarmed. I’m finding it quite unbearable and it makes me cry.
My lovely doctors have given me Co-Dryamol, Diclofenac, Diazepam and Lansoprazole so I feel I should be skipping around! But actually I don’t want to get out of bed because it doesn’t hurt so much when I lie down.
Have to make a Pterodactyl birthday cake tomorrow so I have to pull myself together and get on with it but would really appreciate any ideas you might have.
