Cannabis Tea

Before I went on holiday I bought a packet of CBD teabags with the idea that I had nothing to lose but my money! They are not cheap, at £10.99 for 10 but one bag will do three infusions.
I took it the 2 days before I went away and noticed a real difference to my hip pain.
Too chicken to take any with me (in case of sniffer dogs at Customs!) I did without for the week and my hip started playing up again. Now I am home I have had 3 mugs each day and guess what? The pain in my hip is receding again and I am walking normally once more.
Has anybody else had experience of Cannabis tea or CBD oil?

I think CBD would have been ok to take with you. It doesn't have the hemp which is the element that is hallucinatory and gives a high.

I tried the oil but didn't notice any benefits.

I’ve tried CBD oil but no difference. My hip pain does go into spontaneous remission every now and then though.

DH tried the oil. Very expensive and didn't make any difference to him

Oh, i always wanted to try it, it is very popular and i'm interested in it. Now i use CBD oil agains the pain. It really helps me a lot.

I would like to try it.
But it would have to have some bonus compared to say ibuprofen.
Is there any?

It adds a whole new theme to the " more tea vicar " scenario.

I can’t help but think it’s a fashion

It's not a fashion. It really could be used for medicinal purposes for a wide range of ailments and illnesses.

Probably more relaxing than ibrupofen namsnanny

Hemp has low levels of THC.

MissAdventure Tue 23-Jun-20 22:42:33

It's THC that gets you high, but cbd can give a lovely relaxing feeling without that element.
Whether it works?

I'm sure I watched a documentary years ago where it was given to a parkinsons sufferer, and the effect was astounding.

Big list of drugs not to mix with CBD: www.mydosage.com/cbd-guide/cbd-drugs-interactions-explained

This is why I have not tried it as I am on 3 of these.

Atqui Tue 23-Jun-20 22:53:54

Thanks Lucky girl. That’s very helpful

Callistemon Tue 23-Jun-20 22:56:53

Very useful information, Luckygirl.

MawB, where did you get CBD tea? Is it possible to order it online?

If it's a fashion it's a very long standing one. People have (illegally) been using dope as a pain killer for many years. And I'm not talking about addicts. Just normal people with chronic pain. I know one. Late 70s. Harmless pensioner. If anyone knew, they'd be horrified.

I’m afraid I can’t help you.
I bought mine from a local deli which sadly did not survive lockdown.

That sounds like good tea (CBD) tea bags. I believe you can order most of those products on-line now as they have become very popular.
Many years ago I used to have a cup of tea in the afternoon for sickness associated to pregnancy. My neighbour had a few cannabis plants in the back garden hid behind his large flowering foliage and would give me some leaves to make up a tea. It did help. I am not living there any more and anyway do not use that type of pain relief any longer

Those who wish to try it can simply Google it. There are loads of suppliers.
It is fashionable at the moment as an added ingredient to everything from tea to shampoo.
Personally I prefer to stick to medication which has been scientifically proven to work.

The cannabis tablets have been scientifically proven to be beneficial to sufferers of certain conditions. It can be a postcode lottery as to who will get a persciption for it .
A couple of years ago a mother with a young son that had constant fits and blackouts started to use cannabis for him.
It worked very well, the only thing was she could be open to prosecution but she continued to use something for her son that worked. Eventually the doctors decided her son should get that medication and prescibed it for him and took all the stress out of the situation for the mother.

Wacky baccy would probably be better
