Always in the balance about getting an electric toothbrush.
Never know why I waited so long, they are brilliant.
Suggest buying the rechargable battery one, this saves changing the batterys.
Just need to find replacement brush's that are made of bamboo.

They say electric toothbrushes are far better than manual ones but you mustn't press too hard. The brush does the work not you.
The electric water flossers are excellent too, but there is quite a choice. They flush out any food stuck around the gums which is what causes the bleeding.

You should really always get the dentist to have a look at bleeding gums if the problem persists. Electric toothbrushes are much better than manual - the evidence backs that up - but always remember to floss as well to clean the surfaces your brush won’t reach and to prevent the build up of plaque that can cause gum disease.

I've had an Oral B rechargeable brush for a year now. Love it. Much kinder and more effective, I'd been scrubbing my teeth too hard in the past.
What toothpaste is best for bleeding gums? I've read mouthwash isn't much help.

Interdental brushes will help settle bleeding gums

I'm another fan of interdental brushes. My dentist recommended them over flossing, apparently, they are far more effective.

My electric toothbrush cuts out if you press too hard. I am also a fan of interdental brushes, much better than floss.

I use an electric toothbrush, and also the little interdental brushes.
My Dentist says I should still floss but I can't abide the feel of the stuff.

Have you used dental tape rather than floss? I hate floss too, especially when it sticks in my teeth and separates into fine threads <shudder> but tape never splits and is much easier to work with.

I had bleeding gums at one point but they totally went with corsydal mouthwash

I've used Corsodyl mouthwash and toothpaste for bleeding gums. The mouthwash really works but kills my tastebuds, numbs my mouth and stains my teeth.

I use Corsodyl toothpaste all the time now. Doesn't have the side effects and keeps gum disease away.

My dentist recommended Peroxyl rather than Corsodol. It does the same job but doesn't stain.

Oooo grandma60, is it available over the counter?

I had bleeding gums for years until I wanted some dental work, then was told to use interdental brushes, flossing and electric toothbrushes. Cleared it up in days.
