My "teeth" saga continues sadly .. went back to the dentist today, and she can really see no reason for my painful teeth both upper and lower, only a small area of inflammation/infection around the gum line of a large back crown.
So she has given me 5 days worth of metronidazole ... now I am very allergic to both the penicillins, and the cephalosporins .. and have never had any other antibiotic, until now.
I am hoping and praying I don't react to these, and that it helps with my toothache.
I know there are many of you with antibiotic allergies as I have, and so have any of you had metronidazole?
I am so scared to take it and yet I know I must try to get rid of this tooth pain.
She wants me to see a root canal specialist in a couple of weeks to find out which of my top teeth is the one causing the problem.
but oh I am so phobic about dentists and treatment .. oh hell !
I had a tooth out 7 weeks ago as I couldn't face the root canal procedure, and the dentist agreed that it might not have worked anyway ... but still I have pain and ache.
Who'd have teeth eh??
I have been told by the pharmacist on no account drink alcohol while taking these tablets ... so no more lovely red wine.
Perhaps I 'll have just one glass tonight and start the tablets tomorrow !
