Possibly 'moles' along bra line? Advice please.

Over the years I have noticed several darkish circular marks - possibly moles? - about the diameter of a pencil - that have appeared along my bra line at the front. I usually wear underwired bras. Should I seek medical advice or are these quite common? Advice please!

I think the advice is that if moles appear then get them checked out.

Go and get them checked asap. It takes 5 minutes to check them. I've had a couple removed and it was done quickly and painlessly. My friend kept waiting "until she had the time" and by the time she did go and get them looked at her treatment wasn't so straightforward. Go!

I have loads of these as well, Also back of leg and on stomach. my gp had a quick look a while ago and said nothing to worry about.

They might be sebhorreic keratosis warts, very common as we get older, and often appear where clothing rubs. They usually have a raised crusty surface, but not always.

I have lots of them, on my shoulders, under my breasts, and a few on my face. Totally harmless, but do get them checked.

I have these mole type spots under my breasts. I tried all different sorts of creams didn’t help at all. As a last resort I went and got advice from the pharmacist. She advised me it could be a fungus infection because of wires from bra and always being damp. She told me to try boots own anti fungal cream. I have been using it for a week now and must say it has made a lot of difference.

I have skin tags and little lumps and bumps where clothing rubs especially where bra sits.
DH has them too and he doesn't have constrictive clothing but he does have moobs now thanks to the hormone injections.

I hate my seborrheic keratosis. How can I get rid? The practice nurse told me the doctor would just laugh at me. Can a beautician do the job?

I always have an itch precisely under my right shoulder blade where my bra understrap lies . Non-wired bra. Nothing to be seen on my skin there . I wonder what the cause of it is.

Definitely get the doctor to look at moles.

Alexa, Athlete's foot cream got rid of mine. If I wear a bra (don't usually) I feel my ribs are constricted and get an infuriating itch in the centre of my back, although there's nothing, at all, to be seen there.

For days out, when I can't wear my usual loose tops, I've sewn a few bra fronts into tight-fitting cotton vest tops. I use these as 'underwear. Sew together at the shoulder and side seams, then cut off the bra back - bliss!

Don't ask us; ask your GP and if necessary get an appointment with a dermatologist. My sister, who was then a GP, spotted a black 'mole' on the back of my neck, just on the hairline and ordered me to see my own GP which I did. She sent me to a dermatologist and, to make a long story short, I was sent to Christie's hospital in Manchester to have a malignant melanoma excised. Fortunately it hadn't gone deep and the surrounding tissue was fine, but so grateful to my late sister.

I had a raised one where the edge of my bra sat, under my arm. At the beginning of this year I showed the doc and he made an appointment for me at their wart clinic. I waited about 3 weeks and then it was frozen with a spray. It dropped off over the next few weeks.

Always ask doc to have a look (or send a photo while surgeries are closed for routine appointments).

Go and have them checked. They are probably quite harmless, but the longer you wait the more you will convince yourself that they are dangerous.

Make the appointment tomorrow bright and early and let us know please what your doctor says.

Thanks Hetty! Bless you if If athletes foot cream gets rid of them.

I will try your idea of tight top + sewn in bra cups. That would not give any uplift I imagine but would shape and reduce wobble.

Alexa Sun 26-Jul-20 11:33:11

PS Hetty, did you keep the shoulder straps?

Grannyjacq1 Sun 26-Jul-20 11:34:42

Thanks to all for your advice. I'll try to get an appointment to have them checked out.

Phoned to get an appointment this morning. Saw doctor at 3pm - all fine. Thank, Gransnetters for your helpful and positive advice.

Puzzler61 Mon 27-Jul-20 16:27:37

That’s very good news Grannyjacq .
You were seen so quickly, and now your mind is at rest. It’s probably one more of things to do with getting a little older ?

biba70 Mon 27-Jul-20 22:00:30

Get them checked out- the internet is just not the place to ask.

Chewbacca Mon 27-Jul-20 22:07:04

biba if you look at the post @ 16.18 you'll see that the OP has had them checked out, made an appointment, seen her GP and had the all clear. And perhaps if she hadn't checked out the internet, she might not have received the encouragement to go.

re the discomfort of wearing bras, the home-made adaption is inventive, but what about slippage ! from underneath.
some people wear a close fitting exercise top, the very stretchy ones with elastene, bit like the upper half of a leotard.
it moves and stretches with you, no digging or constriction.
also stabilises bust movement.
this used as foundation wear, with fancy clothes on top.
