I wondered if anyone else has suffered with gluteal tendinopathy? I have had it before but it only lasted a short time, it’s now been going on for some weeks and is quite painful. Unfortunately I can’t take ibuprofen. Has anyone found anything that can help?

A pain in the bum? Most unpleasant with a variety of causes.

Pilates and gin have been beneficial for me! grin

I certainly know a few people who are that, but sorry the only solution I can suggest is Ibuprofen gel or similar, rubbed in well twice a day.
Is that ok if you can’t take Ibuprofen.
Maybe cocodamol would help.

A good physio, keep cushion between legs when sitting or laying on side in bed, and prescribed 500mg Naproxen x3 a day worth a try. Also had steroid injections which work for a short period. Hope it gets better soon.

Thanks for all suggestions. Have seen physio before when I had sciatica, strangely enough on same side, maybe get back in touch to see if they can help.
