Have you ever worn one of those back brace things that are supposed to correct a curved spine?
I broke a vertebra in my back last year and although it's healed and is controlled by painkillers, it's left me with a very elderly-looking stoop.
You must have seen the adverts, they're usually of a very slim young woman with a very unconvincing looking bent back in the 'before' picture, followed by the same young woman looking straight and upright wearing what looks like a harness in picture number two (amazingly it seems to have corrected her protruding tummy too!)
When I was attending the Physio department I was told I didn't need one as they were training me to use my own muscles - but of course I've had no physio treatment for the last 7 months. I'm still doing the exercises but its getting noticeably worse.
Any thoughts? (I am 81, so not much muscle power anyway).
