I too think it would be a wonderful photo ?

ChrissyR Mon 28-Dec-20 21:17:44

Evening everyone
Joce I’m so glad that you’re feeling a bit better and I really hope it continues.
Annie I understand that being on your own gives you plenty of time to dwell on things. I do it and I’m not alone. It amazes me that you offer wise words to everyone else here and very rarely talk about how you are feeling, you’re a very special lady flowers I also think it would be good if they’ve found the photo of you climbing a tree with your dress tucked in your knickers grin
Scaredycat What a long time you had to suffer the AFib. I’m glad that you’re feeling a bit better today and I hope that the walk helped.
Doodle I’m glad that your DH is feeling a bit better every day. I hope that you’re looking after yourself as well.
Enjoy the rest of your evening and sleep well everyone x

Hi all x

How is everyone coping ?

No rain in Mid Wales, snow on my mountains, i want rain not
that white stuff !

Doodle Tue 29-Dec-20 10:59:31

Morning Annie I hope you manage to avoid the snow.
It’s cold but dry here at the moment, not going out while DH is recovering so might try and do some of my painting this afternoon. Both my sons had a good and peaceful Christmas. You will know why that means a lot to me so I am in a better place at the moment.
Hope everyone has a good day. x

Motherofmany Tue 29-Dec-20 11:39:07

Thankyou for your replies, unfortunately our beautiful son was the fourth child to have died, the others one had a genetic disorder and two had difficult births, sadly our last son was deafblind and cerebral palsy which should not have happened (I will say no more). We knew when we adopted all of them their lives were precarious but as a paediatric nurse I thought I would cope if anything happened. I think because our fourth was avoidable it has hit me hard and I think I am very angry! Fortunately we have the other 4 who make us laugh. To add to my stress my other half is being treated for prostate cancer this has been the worst year ever.......here's to a better 2021, if we are lucky!

Doodle Tue 29-Dec-20 13:32:59

motherofmany I am so sorry you’ve had such losses. You obviously care very much for your children and they must have been blessed to end up in your care. I am glad you have laughter in your life. I realise you must be worried about your DH but prostate cancer is one of the most treatable I think. My DH had prostate cancer diagnosed 16 years ago but I can still remember the shock when we found out. I am sure there are far more treatment options available now than there were then. I hope things get better for you soon. Please come on this thread whenever you feel a bit low or want a shoulder to lean on.

rafichagran Tue 29-Dec-20 15:13:50

motherofmany I can only echo what Doodle has said. You will be welcome on this thread anytime.
Please also take care of yourself.

Anniebach Tue 29-Dec-20 15:52:29

Doodle great to know all your family had a good and peaceful Christmas, hope your husband is getting better with
each day.

motherofmany I too echo what Doodle said. I am sorry you have many troubles, do take care of yourself too.

rafichagran hello, how are you ?

Scaredycat Tue 29-Dec-20 16:48:04

Hello everyone.
What a cold day it is .
Annie- you have snow! It must look beautiful on the mountains but I except it causes problems for many people trying to get about.
I think it would be a photo of a day to remember - I have such a funny image in my mind!!
Doodle- what are you painting? It’s a good way to relax isn’t it. Hope your DH continues to do well and pleased your sons both had good Christmasses.
Chrissy- I felt much better after our walk thank youx
Motherofmany- you have had a lot of sadness but also great joy from all your children- they are so lucky to have a Mum like you who loves them all so much. I,m sorry to hear that your DH is unwell and undergoing treatment a stressful time for you both. I hope the New Year brings better times.x
To all in BDG take care and enjoy your evening. Sleep well tooxx

Motherofmany Tue 29-Dec-20 17:11:08

Hi all x

Does anyone find what was causing anxiety and depression before the wretched virus has been increased or decreased since March or are you struggling with both equally ?

Joce345 Wed 30-Dec-20 14:39:27

Annie definitely worse for me,
Hope everyone’s haveing a good day ?

Doodle Wed 30-Dec-20 21:28:09

Hello all. Busy day today. We had a call yesterday asking us to go to hospital today for DH to have his catheter out.
That’s one more step on the road to recovery but he’s very tired tonight. He walked much further than usual and I think all the poking and prodding around made his back ache again.
scaredycat I am painting a scene of Paris in the rain with the Eiffel Tower in the background. I expect you are very impressed with my artistic abilities ........... it is painting by numbers ?
Annie as you know, most of my worries are family rather than health related so I think my anxieties are worse not so much because of the virus but because of the impact that lockdown had on socialising for my DGC and not being able to go to their sports activities they enjoy.

Anniebach Wed 30-Dec-20 21:43:32

Yes I understand Joyce and Doodle given your worries,
I looked on the local site this morning, as I do every morning
to learn what’s going on in the town, as I don’t go out I wouldn’t know.

Anyway someone has posted a photograph of a crowd of
people walking the path of one of the mountains, and a
photograph of the cars and a coffee van parked at the foot.

I have spoken of my great fear of snow, even the weather chap
saying ‘snow in Scotland’ starts me off. But looking at the crowd walking through the snow, one mini bus was from
England, my thoughts were not ‘oh no snow and quite a fall’,
instead ‘they are breaking lockdown , I hope they are fined’.

Perhaps you understand why I asked .

Exhausting day for both your husband and you Doodle,
do get rest

Joce345 Thu 31-Dec-20 08:00:34

Morning all it’s a cold one this morning,

Hope everyone has a nice day thinking of you all. ?

rafichagran Thu 31-Dec-20 09:42:08

Hoping for a better 2021. Take care x wine

Scaredycat Thu 31-Dec-20 11:48:44

Good morning all.
Annie- how are you today - hope the snow is holding off.
Since the virus the Health Anxiety has been worse and I,m missing my lovely Doc who retired in the Summer. I could just go and chat with him when I was troubled It’s feeling scared a lot of the time which makes me feel physically poorly. BUT I am keeping a lid on it so far and getting on with it.
How selfish of those people to come to your area to walk without a thought of the safety of others. I hope they get fined too.
I,m sorry you have a fear of snow it must be very difficult when you see it forcast. I love to see it and walk in it and years ago loved to ski.
Take care Annie and keep warm
Joce- cold here too but lovely and sunny so a wrapped up walk will be on the cards later.
Doodle - you must have felt very weary after your day yesterday but I expect your DH feels much more comfortable now. Have a good rest today
Your picture will be lovely. Paris is so beautiful. Like many people I am missing all the lovely places we have been so fortunate to visit. Right now going downtown would be enough!!
To all my lovely friends in BDG every good wish for the New Year. Let’s hope it will be a better year for everybody around the world. Bring on the Vaccine!!!!!!
Take care xxxx

nanny2507 Thu 31-Dec-20 19:40:58

happy and safe 2021 everyone xxx

Doodle Thu 31-Dec-20 20:02:48

Good evening all.
Annie I fail to understand why people think it’s a good idea to congregate together or even join others. We have done our best to avoid mixing with people for such a long time.
I hope these vaccines work and we can see some hope for the new year.
I hope the snow doesn’t come near you Annie . Does it upset you seeing it on your mountains?
DH is improving every day. Thank you for asking. Still aches and walks with a frame but more upright and quicker ?
Joce how are you doing?
rafichagran happy 2021 to you too. Are you staying up.
scaredycat a good doctor that you can rely on is worth their weight in gold. Happy new year to you and you too nanny.
And bluesky

Hi All. Haven’t posted on here for a while - everything has been ok recently. Seem to have got my meds sorted and am coping with this awful lockdown. So many of you have much worse problems than me. Happy and healthy 2021 to you all
