Flu and covid

We've had our flu jabs but I think there has to be six months between the second jab and the booster so we are not due for our booster until after the sixteenth.

We've also had our flu jabs and it seems to have been stronger this year as we felt under the weather for a few days. Not heard about boosters yet.

No not had either we had our flu jabs yesterday no after affects.
My husband had an iffy virus a while ago which needed a PCR to check but that disappeared before he received the results.
I don’t actually seem to catch much anyway my excuse is I don’t have time

My surgery rang me yesterday and I am going to the local leisure centre on Friday to have the booster and the flu jab together, not sure if this is a good idea, any opinions?

Had flu jab just over a week ago.
Covid due late this month.

A lot of GP surgeries put notices up on facebook saying people would be called when they had had 6 months between last covid jab. I'm not sure about flu jabs.

We have had flu vaccinations, waiting to be called for Covid Booster (not due for 2 weeks then it will be six months since second vaccine)

Our surgery sent us a text giving us three days notice that flu jabs would be done on a Sunday morning. Everyone was to form an orderly queue suitably distanced.

If this year was like last year, it meant a queue hundreds of yards long snaking out of the car park and along the road. There seemed to to be no arrangements for those not fit enough to stand in a queue for several hours and the text made it clear that if you didn't attend they would assume you didn't want the flu jab.

We were away on holiday and couldn't go, even if we wanted to and DH is among those who could not stand in a queue for hours. We will go to the Tesco Pharmacy for the flu jab, as we did last year.

We had our flue jabs two weeks ago. Yesterday I was in the middle of planting bulbs when I got a text message asking me to book my Covid Booster, this had to be done online NOT phone the surgery. Was a bit unsure what to do as I'm due to go away, long drive to see family at the end of the week but thought it was probably better to have it now as it might be more difficult to book at a later date. There was a slot at 4pm, half an hours drive away so cutting it a bit fine as it was already past three. Rushed around, scrubbed hands, made myself presentable and arrived on time. My arm aches a bit today and I'm hoping that is all it will be. They were offering the flue jab to those who had not had it, if flue jab already booked elsewhere they were being advised to keep that appointment instead.

Had the flu jab at doctors two weeks ago and very well organised. No queues at all. Currently waiting for Covid booster information etc.

I booked my flu jab at Boots online about 4 weeks ago and went today. Lovely lady doing the injection and no charge as over 50. Parking was easy too, unlike at my local surgery. Covid booster not due until mid-November.

Flu jab this Thursday at GP, I don’t expect Covid booster until November, 6 monthsafter my last one. They are happening here as I’m in a group that supply voluntary lifts. S Hants.

Do you mean have we had the viruses or have we had the jabs
My flu is son Saturday haven’t heard about the booster but my 6 months isn’t up until end of October so no rush

A GP friend, and the Nurse who gave my flu jab last week, had both covid and flu done together. No problems apart from the usual sore arm for a couple of days.

Joan Collins had both together!

They won’t let you have both jabs together here. Maybe so they can separate out any side effects?

It is too soon for our Covid boosters. The receptionist said that they have been told that they will be given a minimum of 26 weeks after the second jab.
That means OH should get his at the end of November and I should get one Dec/Jan.

Had my flu jab a few weeks ago no sign of the booster yet.

I’ve got my booster next weekend, will have my flu jab at work sometime over the next couple of weeks.

DH and I had our flu jabs last Thursday and he had a message to book his covid booster this morning. Mine is not due yet. DD tells me she was supposed to have a flu jab at her surgery today but the vaccines have not arrived so it was cancelled.

As it's not six months since I had the last Covid vaccination I told the surgery I would prefer to wait a while longer for the booster.
However, this means I can't have the flu vaccine as it's both or nothing for the time being, so I was told.
Apparently a lot of patients have declined the booster.

X2 jabs for one trip at our local GP hub.
DH had both last Friday he's fine. I'm booked in too for both.
