Painful shoulder

I’ve had this for ages now, shoulder has some sort of injury. I have been searching all over for bras which I can do up, feel comfortable and which fit. I am, err, on the plus side. I have recently bought some lovely soft ones from evans, cotton. Believe me I have tried loads of different ones. I did hope sleep brass would be the answer, but not really, they get tangled up in my hair.

Why Have I only now discovered it is easier to do them up first and then pull them on over your head? I have been in agony trying to do them up from the back! Thank you evans for designing a bra which is comfortable! No horrible underwriting either.

Better late than never, discovering the bra fastening technique but shouldn't you be finding out what's causing your sore shoulder?

It is even easier to do them up and step into them!

I have a bad shoulder but can manage by doing it up at the front and twizzling it around to the back then pulling up the straps. I have always used this technique since a girl.

I know what’s wrong with the shoulder, I had a scan which showed a tear. I was so crippled with pain I paid nearly £500 for a private steroid injection, which is only temporary. Have also seen Physio’s.

As a last resort there is an operation which I am loath to have done as it takes ages to recover.

It might be worth checking for a trapped nerve in your neck, I had a suspected shoulder injury for a while that wouldn't go away even with physio... Because that isn't where the pain came from

The cure was so simple, just stretching my neck by sitting up straight and letting my head fall forward under its own weight (no forcing) twice a day

Whatever your injury, you should go get checked over as you shouldn't be living with pain

NHS website has exercises for pain in shoulders and if done regularly they really can eradicate stiffness and pain without injections and surgery.
It worked for me.
If you don’t feel the benefit after the suggested 6-8 weeks period then of course return to your GP surgery for further investigation.

Good Luck Sallywally ?

My husband had a very painful shoulder for a long time, he just couldn’t get comfortable in bed and his sleep was disturbed. The GP said it was probably arthritis but I persuaded him to see a physiotherapist. She diagnosed a frozen shoulder, gave him exercises and wrote to the GP recommending a pain relieving injection. He was called for the injection pretty quickly and almost immediately the pain disappeared. It took a while to get full mobility of his arm back but was just relieved to be free of the pain.

I don't know how old you are but I was advised that a complete tear of the rotator cuff tear is not always successful in older people. I wore a sling.
I did wear front fastening bras for a while but the shape isn't great. Just do it up at the front, twizz it round and carefully put your arms through - sore shoulder first.

I did persevere with the physio exercises.
Sleeping on my back helped too.

I had a shoulder strain which the Doctor said was causing referred pains in my head. He prescribed pain killers and a good rub in gel which is working. I switched to wearing a sports bra, or what I call a walk in bra! Which I find comfortable and supportive. I too ind sleeping on my back helps. Hope yours soon improves Sally.

It's not easy to get checked over these days
I'm in a lot of pain, but I have noidea whether it's a trapped nerve, frozen shoulder or a tear.
I've been trying to see a gp for over two months as I want to get diagnosed properly, but I keep being referred to a physio and even then it's not face to face.
It's shocking that a lot of people are having to yry gto self diagnose and second guess, when a simple examination or scan would reveal the problem immediately.
I can see me having to go private.

VioletSkyI might try your trapped nerve exercise.
