Where in Edinburgh would you choose for a quiet walk in peaceful surrroundings? I'd vote for the Walled Garden on the edge of Corstorphine Woods.

I don't know Edinburgh but for me, a tropical beach at sunset is the best place to contemplate the wonders of the universe- a bit scarce in Nottingham though....SIGH!

A beach - anywhere. Just being by the sea is the place for me smile

I don't get through to Edinburgh much I live in the west of Scotland . I see Edinburgh as a fun place. Cannae beat Auld Reekie at festival time.

So it is, Scotsgran. It is my favourite city.

Not able to get through to Edinburgh these days but oh to sit in Princes Street gardens and look up at the castle.
The thought just brings a wee tear to my eye ?

Do not know Edinburgh, but my own back garden, despite the gantries(subject of a previous thread)

I’ve never been to Edinburgh (why not, I ask myself?). The place for me would be - is, in fact - on the shore of my favourite upland reservoir with a fishing rod in my hand. Rarely anyone else around to disturb my pondering. No answers to the big questions yet though!
