Sorry everyone, havnt been posting anything for a while; been distracted by one thing and another, family; holidays, social calendar, etc.I enjoyed the meeting in Bolton,the meal was great,just a little awkward at first, not knowing anyone...in person, you know what I mean.

Maybe, if anyone is still interested in a local Blackburn meeting, however small, we could arrange something......but I will only be free from

wieekbeginning 21st of July for just a week as I will have the grandchildren.

How lovely liminetta - I enjoyed a cruise a few years back - we went from Southampton on med cruise on Independence of the Seas - really enjoyed it! Dates I could make are Friday 20th, Monday 23rd or Tuesday 24 Sep - would you be able to make any of those? Also anyone else still interested in local meetup who could join us please join in?

Yes, GransMT; I love the cruises....This kind of holiday suits us both..the ship you went on is huge! Ive seen it round the med.Looks awesome (as my grandaughter would say).I can probably make any of those dates you give in September.Maybe we ould get otheres to meet up.Anybody out there???

Well, I went to Blakeys and had my lunch, which was delicious.Fortunately, I wasnt alone, as my two friends joined me.While we were waiting to be served, I went around asking women if they were with Gransnet.None of them were, as it turned out, but it was a good P.R., excercise, as they all asked me what that was about , so I explained about the website, and they said they were interested, and would look it up.

Hi liminetta I'm here as always! Glad you had a lovely lunch with your friends. I was having a very busy day at work and ended up working through lunch time! When more people are joining us on the forums it might be a good time to try to arrange another meet up. Maybe your friends can come along - also maybe some of the ladies you spoke to about Gransnet. I always have to work on Wednesdays & Thursdays though. Here is a bouquet just for you!

Well, my working days are definately over, but I do feel for you,slaving away.
The friends who joined me for lunch dont have computers, unfortunately.(I think they are afraid of them), sadly. They dont know what theyre missing.
