making new friends in East Herts

Hello everyone! I would love to meet some new friends in Ware/East Herts. My 'best' friend moved to another part of the country a couple of years ago and I've found it quite hard to make new 'real' friends, tho I have tried! I thought I was quite a likeable person, but perhaps notsad. There was a woman who I often met when out with the dogs; our children had been at school together so we were acquainted, and always said hello and commented on the weather etc. One day as we chatted, I asked her if she fancied meeting in town for a coffee or lunch. Well!! She was off across the field like a scalded cat and I haven't seen her since!blush. So I am doubting myself! If there is anyone out there who would like to make new friends and meet for a coffee or anything you would like to suggest, I would love to hear from you!

I am sorry to hear that you scared the lady off,I have that effect on people sometimes(only joking)
It is a pity we do not live near enough to meet for coffee and I am not very mobile
I live in Loughborough which is not very near to you but I hope you will reply to this message

Hi! Thanks for your message! No one else has replied, which is a shame. It isn't that easy to meet new friends but I thought i might find some similar people on here, so it was very nice of you to reply! It was quite funny about the lady with the dog really; I can laugh about it now!
Sorry to hear you are not very mobile. Do you have friends and family to help? sunshine

Have you had any luck with meeting new friends?
I live in Buntingford - I'm near enough for a meetup!
I'm the local editor for Royston and have been trying to arrange some kind of meet-up without any success!
I'm sure you're not scary in the least - some people just don't want or have the time for anyone else I'm afraid - that's the world we live in today - it's very sad!

Would you be interested in meeting up with me?

There must be loads of ladies (and men) out there that would like to expand their circle of friends/build their social life. I can't find very much at all for meet up groups anywhere for the over 55's. I live in Bedfordshire, on the Hertfordshire border.

Hi everyone. I live in Hertford and would love to meet for a chat and a coffee. I am 57 and retired from my little shop in 2014 and am fed up being at home. I have taken on an allotment and am going to get stuck into that next spring but i really would ,love to make some friends and have some laughs etc. Many thanks for reading. Jackie. x
