Would you like to drive (and join) a few elderly people to a tea party just ONCE A MONTH? Many older people feel lonely and isolated, so a trip to see new people and make friends makes a great difference. Once a month, on a Sunday afternoon, you will, as part of a small team of 3-4 volunteer drivers pick up 1-2 older people, who live local to you, and together you visit a volunteer host for afternoon tea for a couple of hours. It is the same drivers and members that get together each month and they go to the home of a different host each month, but visit them year after year. The older people are over 75, live alone and haven't got anyone to share thoughts with, so for them these regular outings are a real lifesaver, and you will have as much fun as them. It is a great opportunity to make a real difference and have great fun at the same time.
