How many of you live or work on Mersea Island?

Nina is the new Gransnet Local Editor for the Island and can be contacted direct on [email protected]

She would love to know about any events or businesses that you would like others to know about.

Have you spotted any Red Squirrels? Please upload your photos onto the forum as we would love to see them. Any other pictures of the Island would be very welcome too.

Maybe you would even like to have a Gransnet meetup on Mersea!

My grandfather was born in East Mersea, just near the church.

Hi we moved to the island in March and love it here. We had talked about moving here for some time as our daughter lives in Colchester but the catalyst came last year when she told us we were going to be grandparents. Willow was born on Easter Monday, 28th March and is an absolute darling. My husband and son have a business offering plastering, painting and decorating so we are now trying to build contacts in this area.
