What can we do in Essex?

Garden enthusiasts are being given the chance to be part of an audience with gardening journalist and TV presenter, Alan Titchmarsh, MBE, as he talks about his career and experience as a gardener, from his early days at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, to his career on TV and radio, his writing and his charity work.

The event is being held on 28th June at The Ivor Crewe Lecture Theatre, The University of Essex, Colchester, and is in aid of the Beth Chatto Education Trust.

I have been asked to spread the word about an Easter egg hunt on Easter Day, 10.30-2, with clues to solve and an egg at the end for all players. The Vine, Great Bardfield will be serving breakfast rolls and there'll be crafts, cake, face painting and a great raffle

Proceeds from the raffle, hunt, crafts and cake all go to Great Bardfield pre-school.
