Just been chatting to my sister in law in Bristol, she was telling me about what she described as their Senior Forums and all about the fantastic activity events co-ordinated or arranged by (Bristol ) LinkAge. Who I believe are also in other regions

Does anybody else belong to a Senior Forum which I believe are run mainly by Seniors for Seniors?

Please lets have more info about what your Forum does and how welcoming they really are hope to get some great feed back.
Cheers

Is this not a senior forum ? confused Although I assume you mean ones that meet IRL . Unfortunately even the well known ones are sparsely distributed throughout the country

granddaughter are you seeking info for a grandparent or for something you are engaged in?

ninathenana,

In my view we are a forum that provides for a wide diversity of what I hope are healthy views. What we cannot do is to effectively tackle loneliness & social isolation Nationally or directly improve local seniors quality of life.
We can endeavour to influence polocies by sound debates but we are not very effective at grassroots compared with the likes of LinkAge and local Senior Forums. I believe such Forums are numerous in parts of the South West and I would like to know more about them, I notice Age UK also invites them to register as a Friend.
