Just shows how silly 'averages' are grin

Indinana Sat 15-Aug-15 09:42:47

Now that is funny!

I know several Susan's, but none of them are married to a David, and none of them live in 1930's semis.
Just shows how "average" they are not.smile

Yes, we are the average couple and we live opposite another average couple! However we do not live in a 1930's semi.

Alea Sun 16-Aug-15 12:37:58

All the Davids we know seem to be married to Barbaras!

Greenfinch Sun 16-Aug-15 12:56:12

My cousin David is married to a Barbara.

janeainsworth Sun 16-Aug-15 12:58:55

We know a David and Barbara smile

Nonnie Sun 16-Aug-15 12:59:19

All Davids are accountants!

Know some Sues and don't think they are 'average'

annodomini Sun 16-Aug-15 13:37:16

How boring it would be to be 'average'! Would anyone admit to it?

Anya Sun 16-Aug-15 13:39:23

I know a Dave married to a Sue...will that do?

whitewave Sun 16-Aug-15 14:20:46

Every time I do quizes or read reports we always turn out as average - it so annoys me!

Maggiemaybe Sun 16-Aug-15 18:14:31

I know two Dave and Sues, one couple living in a 1930s semi. I'm not sure what they drive though (dons Hetty Wainthrop snooping attire).

We know a David and Barbara, and a couple of Susans. Common names though, so no surprise really.

absent Mon 17-Aug-15 00:28:48

What age are Mr & Mrs Average supposed to be?

Teetime Mon 17-Aug-15 09:40:47

One of us is called Susan or David, we have a Quashqui and live in a modern detached - we think we are average but not ordinary. wink

rosesarered Mon 17-Aug-15 10:07:45

Good question Absent.Although David is a name used both now and back in the day, Susan and Barbara would suggest they are all at least sixty somethings wouldn't it?

rosesarered Mon 17-Aug-15 10:08:34

Teetime, of course you are not ordinary, none of us are!wink

Teetime Mon 17-Aug-15 10:32:21

Aw thank you. Yes I'm 62 and there were four Susans in my class at primary school but it was my grandmothers name so that's why I got it. You don't hear of babies being called Susan now. We had a dog called Dave once.

ninathenana Mon 17-Aug-15 13:47:12

absent I don't remember it mentioning age.

Susan was a very common name when I was young. There were 3 in my form at senior school and one in another that I know of.
