Obama is lifting the ban on weapons sales to Vietnam. So another country will be supplied with the most vile weapons to benefit arms manufacturers. Is this good news?

it is a sad fact that so many industries are connected either directly or indirectly with defense and armaments industries. Even those of us with pensions may find that our pension providers invest in those industries to provide our income.

It may seem perverse, but by lifting this embargo the USA is extending support to Vietnam in the face of a growing threat from China. It is a good move between former enemies.
