Many of us have rejoiced at the birth of grandchildren recently, but whether recently or not, we will ALL I think feel this is particularly shocking.

Unbelievably awful. Awful abounds in this world.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 11-Aug-16 14:00:29

Evil, not awful.

Luckygirl Thu 11-Aug-16 15:36:23

Evil indeed.

PRINTMISS Thu 11-Aug-16 15:55:05

I have no idea how the people in these districts are surviving. This isn't even a war, is it, it just destroying for the sake of destroying, and killing for the sake of killing, and it all seems so fruitless, because in the end there will be nothing left except hatred.

Very true PRINTMISS. I saw Aleppo on the news and they said there are 3 million people living there. All I could see for miles were ruins so where on earth are they all living? It must be hell on earth and can only be existing as it's certainly not what we would call living.

They were talking about this on TV or radio, and they said that the bombing of civilians etc is quite deliberate it is seen as a useful weapon of war. Whatever they may say about how sorry etc they are it is quite deliberate.

I hate what this world is becoming

Jane10 Thu 11-Aug-16 17:22:47

Just appalling. Why do people do this to others? Too sad.sad

Marmark1 Thu 11-Aug-16 17:24:06

It's not the world is it,far from it,It's mainly the Middle East, No other country deliberately bombs hospitals and schools do they?

henetha Thu 11-Aug-16 17:27:12

It's unbelievably evil. My heart goes out to these people.
Talk about man's inhumanity to man. How can they do this and still sleep at night?

Luckygirl Thu 11-Aug-16 17:45:50

Apparently they have god on their side.

mcem Thu 11-Aug-16 18:10:05

But if they're fortunate enough to escape from that hellhole they become refugees- potentially immigrants to western europe- and they're presented with a different set of problems, aren't they? Lots of long-distance sympathy but rather less when nimbyism raises its ugly head!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 11-Aug-16 18:22:22

The answer might be to finish what the West started.
