The gap widens ...

Sadly I can see nothing 'Christian' in what this women says on her FB page that advertises her business.

^With the recent women's march on Washington, I ask that you if you want yarn for any project for the women's movement that you please shop for yarn elsewhere. The vulgarity, vile and evilness of this movement is absolutely despicable. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and is not welcomed at The Joy of Knitting. I will never need that kind of business to remain open. Two wrongs will never ever make it right.
As the owner of this business and a Christian, I have a duty to my customers and my community to promote values of mutual respect, love, compassion, understanding, and integrity. The women's movement is counterproductive to unity of family, friends, community, and nation.^
I do pray for these women. May the God work out His love in their hearts and continue to heal and unite Americans.
^Elizabeth

I am so worried about this politics of division. The women's movement is something that I was proud to support in my younger days, and although I am aware that there are still arguments to be won, I thought that much had been accepted by society but clearly there is a movement of hate that still exists, and at the moment appears to be spreading.

I don't think she has done her business any favours reading the reviews on the site. I think there's a Christian movement called "surrendered wives" or something similar. Perhaps she's a supporter.

I just don't get where the Christianity comes in. It seems a very extreme a view of life. I agree the politics of division is very worrying whitewave.

She must be one of those who think that Christianity means having nothing to with any issues in this life, doing nothing to change unjust laws or corrupt administrations or even vote, just pulling the duvet over their heads and concentrating on the rewards waiting for them in the next life.

There are some fairly extreme Christian churches/groups in the US, this woman is obviously involved with one of them.

I heard someone quoting from the bible about building a wall on one news programme. They really are very extreme and yet another worry about where the US is going to go.

She's getting plenty of response on her FB page - probably not of the type she would like!

What a charmer. hmm

How strange!

I think she must also be the type of Christian who supports torture and waterboarding.
