Ten DUP MP's calling the shots? I despair.

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 07:34:42

She isnt resigning - her arrogance knows no bounds

Rigby46 Fri 09-Jun-17 07:35:33

A minority government means no stability whatsoever - horse trading on a daily basis. That'll help us negotiate with the EU. WTF

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 07:36:48

God thats on Monday!!!!!

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 08:03:35

Dup want the triple lock

Rigby46 Fri 09-Jun-17 08:07:53

Next thing they'll want is our abortion and gay rights legislation brought into line with theirs - we are all clear on their bigoted, misogynistic mind set aren't we?

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 08:08:51

Oh god

trisher Fri 09-Jun-17 08:09:11

Amber Rudd and Zac Goldsmith just scraped in. May still says she will stay. Farage says he may have to come back! You couldn't make it up.

Cat sitting on No 10 doorstep- thinks (as cats do) that the photographers are there for him.

Rigby46 Fri 09-Jun-17 08:12:20

Do you remember in 2015 DC shroud waving about Labour working with the SNP? And suddenly it's OK for us to be governed by 10 people who hate women and gay people. I despair.

daphnedill Fri 09-Jun-17 08:13:41

Do you follow "Larry the cat" on Twitter? All the government cats have been been busy. I think they're hoping to form a government.

trisher Fri 09-Jun-17 08:19:30

Oh please! I'd love that. Cat coup!

BlueBelle Fri 09-Jun-17 08:21:10

Oh my word why won't the woman GO
DUP would be a nightmare goodbye any humanitarian values this has to be fought

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 08:21:49

We need a different system

Elegran Fri 09-Jun-17 09:03:33

If she goes we could still get the DUP as make-weights, and who would be any better than May as a replacement? Boris?

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 09:07:57

Not Boris please not Boris.

mcem Fri 09-Jun-17 09:11:44

On the big issues the antiTory parties can still outvote Tory+DUP.
No way will the country accept any DUP hard-core policies.
Not time to despair yet!

grumppa Fri 09-Jun-17 09:13:20

Look on the bright side. A vote against hard Brexit and Salmond lost his seat.

daphnedill Fri 09-Jun-17 09:33:11

Can Scottish, Welsh and Irish MPs vote on devolved issues, such as health and social care?

Rosina Fri 09-Jun-17 09:34:35

'If it ain't broke don't fix it' has never been better demonstrated! What a shambles - we are in for some lively times now as its likely that parliament will be mud slinging and arguing, blocking each others proposals, and forgetting that they are there for the good of the country as a whole and not to score party points. Pollsters might be out of a job too - they keep getting it wrong! The most valuable asset for anyone now is going to be a sense of humour - we're all going to need one.

Jaycee5 Fri 09-Jun-17 09:35:37

I think that there needs to be a minimum attendance law for the House of Commons. The idea that Sinn Fein can still be elected as Westminster MPs and then say that they have no intention of attending and thereby skewing democracy cannot be allowed to continue. The Tories will not change it as it would lose them their wafer thin majority but it make a joke of our system.
I agree about the DUP but they would cause the Tories problems. They don't agree with abortion, are against homosexuality and frankly are a bit of a throwback.
Funny though that it is now the Tories who will be creating a coalition of chaos.

daphnedill Fri 09-Jun-17 09:36:34

Survation got it right for the second time.

Jaycee5 Fri 09-Jun-17 09:37:03

I'm hoping for some early bye elections. They should be fun.

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 09:38:22

No! I didn't think so that puts another colour on it

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 09:38:55

That's to dd
