I ask because double standards seem to apply on some threads.

The referendum had lies on both sides, but we had to make up our owm minds.

I'd be interested to know what people expect to find in the UK studies that have not been covered off or analysed in the hundreds of EU studies that are available?

This is from a report examining the ten-year impact on cities of both 'hard' and 'soft' Brexit.

All British cities are set to be negatively affected as a result of higher trade costs between the UK and EU, and this impact will be greater in the scenario of a ‘hard Brexit’. Economic output in cities (as measured by Gross Value Added, GVA) is predicted to be 1.2 per cent lower on average under a ‘soft Brexit’ and 2.3 per cent lower under a ‘hard Brexit’ than if the UK remained in the EU.

I am going to predict that we will trade globally with great success. That prediction is just as valid.

I am going to predict that we will have a bumpy couple of years and then boom time again. And in that two years the euro is going to fall spectacularly.

What about lower trade costs with the rest of the world and the shed loads we save in tariffs and restrictions? What about cheaper and increased imports and exports? What about the ten billion plus we won't have to give to Brussels each year?

It's propaganda and Remainers are doing their utmost to get us to suck it all up and regret voting to leave the EU.

Having had a government which has had to be dragged, kicking and screaming toward openness it was said on DP, by Matthew Pennycook, Shadow Minister for Exiting the European Union that the Brexit select committee should get, as per the terms of the motion, all the Impact Studies in full. It will then be for them to determine how that information is published in a wider sense. The select committee chairs on each area should have that information.

What a shame that the government could not be open with Parliament in the first place.

Primrose offers a prediction based on no relevant knowledge or experience and you choose that.

I offer an academic paper properly produced, one where you can click through to the technical report and, you leap up and down like a small child about the word "predicted".

I know that statistically the leave voters were less educated but that really doesn't mean they have to make comments from a position of complete ignorance.

gg I think you're getting me confused with people who offer predictions! I'd also be careful labelling people as 'no relevant knowledge or experience'. I don't think you're the arbiter of the relevance of a person's life experiences or their (unknown to you) academic qualifications.
I'd just be a little more mindful of posts when you complain about 'comments from a position of complete ignorance.'

What about the Thai chicken? I have read awful reports about the production of that.

I am finding it difficult to get some fish which has not been reared in China/Taiwan/ Vietnam etc and just finished off and packaged in Europe. I can often get Scottish smoked salmon here and some of it being wild salmon.
