Two news reports from either end of the country -

60,000 bees stolen in raid on Aberdeenshire farm
and
More than 60,000 bees found in roof of Cambridge hospital

Perhaps flying that far south made them ill.

Are they the same species?
There are 250+ species of bees, some speak with a Scottish accent too.

The Cambridge bees look like honey bees too!

lemongrove Fri 21-Sep-18 20:17:28

Was it a buzziness news story elegran ?

Elegran Fri 21-Sep-18 20:26:17

Did they escape from their kidnappers, sting them well, and set off south to set up a new home somewhere well away?

lemongrove Fri 21-Sep-18 20:28:28

Or is the whole thing a sting?

Jalima1108 Fri 21-Sep-18 20:28:59

Stand underneath with your mouth open lemongrove !

They can't be the same bees - not enough time to make all that honey.
The NHS could make a fortune - or use it for wound dressing.

I love honey I must say.?it’s fab on pancakes.

Elegran Fri 21-Sep-18 20:41:51

Jalima Was that why they were stolen? Someone was planning to set up a lucrative honey-dressings enterprise (not NHS) but were foiled by the crafty bees, acting as one unit, who stuck the thieves to each other with honey and buzzed off to Cambridge.
