Boys can have periods too!!! Really?

Cherrytree59 Mon 17-Dec-18 12:49:11

No they can't!

MawBroon Mon 17-Dec-18 13:06:09

They are welcome to them!

Parsley3 Mon 17-Dec-18 13:10:41

So that’s why it is called menstruation ! ?

Cherrytree59 Mon 17-Dec-18 13:13:05

Will the 'Boys' when they reach their 5Os also suffer and live through the menopause.
As they are also welcome to that!

Jalima1108 Mon 17-Dec-18 13:19:44

They're not boys then, are they.

ninathenana Mon 17-Dec-18 13:31:12

Stupidest think I've seen for a while.
Let them be children. Plenty of time for discusions about gender, gender neutral, whatever when they're older.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 17-Dec-18 14:07:55

Absolutely flipping ridiculous!!!!!

FlexibleFriend Mon 17-Dec-18 14:26:09

I saw that yesterday and tbh couldn't be bothered to read it.

Luckygirl Mon 17-Dec-18 14:27:18

I guess what they are saying is that some children who identify as boys still have female genitalia and will be having periods.

I find it all very confusing and heaven knows what it must all be like for children who are at an age when they are trying to work out who they are.

I wholeheartedly endorse the idea that both sexes should be able to discuss periods in an open and unembarrassed way.

Anja Mon 17-Dec-18 14:33:02

‘Trans boys and men and non-binary people may have period’ is what the report says. So yes, they can.

LadyGracie Mon 17-Dec-18 15:25:03

This country has gone completely doolally tap!

GrannyGravy13 Mon 17-Dec-18 15:36:02

I believe this was a primary school, I may be old fashioned but 11 years old is surely far too young to be having lessons on transgender, gender fluid and binary issues.

More appropriate for 13 years and upwards.

TerriBull Mon 17-Dec-18 16:08:01

Of course they do, it's obvious how else would they become pregnant people wink Inclusivity for all!

Just when you think you've come through the menopause you find your prostate gets you up several times during the night, at least that's what I think it is grin

Anja Mon 17-Dec-18 16:38:56

GG my 9-year old granddaughter was explaining transgender to me last week. She obviously thought I needed educating but in truth she explained it quite well.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 17-Dec-18 16:44:41

Anja in one of GC schools their friend “changed gender” in year 2 only to revert back in year 3.

In my school days we had girls that were “tomboys” and boys who were “sensitive” what or who they became when they grew up I do not know.

I am just uncomfortable with what seems like the pushing of gender issues at primary level.

Nicenanny3 Mon 17-Dec-18 16:48:38

Let children be children they will have enough things to worry about when they get older. It's all the Liberal lefties pushing these ridiculous ideas.

TerriBull Mon 17-Dec-18 16:48:53

"Trans boys and men may have a period" They have periods because they are still biologically female.

sodapop Mon 17-Dec-18 16:53:07

I agree with Nicenanny and Terribull. What rubbish are we filling small children's heads with.

EllanVannin Mon 17-Dec-18 18:39:27

I've come to the conclusion that there's something radically wrong with whoever thinks up this dangerous twaddle. They're nothing but a pack of sex maniacs !
No wonder kids are confused and having counselling for mental health issues. It's cruel and damaging. Psychological abuse.

If parents controlled their children n such a way the social services would be knocking on their doors.

Buffybee Mon 17-Dec-18 20:29:22

It's the Politically Correct "lot" gone totally doolally.
Filling kids heads with all their confusing rubbish...... girls can be boys, boys can be girls.
No they can't!
I really hope that these gender neutral public toilets don't become the norm, it's bad enough with changing rooms at the Swimming Baths.

Bathsheba Mon 17-Dec-18 21:34:18

I think gender neutral toilets are here to stay, Buffybee and will inevitably become the norm in due course. It's chiefly so that the local authorities, restaurants, bars etc. don't have to concern themselves with demands for separate toilets for transgender men, and for transgender women and so on.
I can see their point. Much easier to say, OK, the toilets are for anyone and everyone.

NfkDumpling Mon 17-Dec-18 22:14:24

I’m quite happy for gender neutral toilets. It means everyone gets to queue. Much fairer.

Nicenanny3 Tue 18-Dec-18 07:39:53

I don't like gender neutral toilets it's bad enough using public toilets without having to share them with men.

NfkDumpling Tue 18-Dec-18 07:54:07

But nowadays some of those men may not be really men and some of the ladies are men! Oh for the good old days when men were men!
