Sorry cant do a link, but I have just read about the 104 year old grandmother who has wanted to be arrested because she has never "done a crime" lol ohh bless her the Police acted the arrest out out and had her best interest at heart all the time, they even took her to the police station with blue lights and sirens lol..it was quite touching. smile

Yes I saw that on TV this morning. The lady looked so happy in the police car and then posing for photos wearing a police cap. Nice bit of humanity to cheer us up.

Aww, 104. I also saw this on the news and she was thoroughly delighted at being " arrested ". I'm so glad her wish was carried out.

You would think she is at least a great grandmother at that age!

Not meaning to criticise. Hope it doesn't sound like that. I hadn't seen the story but it sounds lovely.

It sounds barmey IMHO so no awwws, or lol or bless from me ( sorry about that.)
Hope if I ever get to that age ( not sure I want to) I won’t waste police time by my whims.

I think that at 104 the lady could have a little fun without others criticising. It's good to see the human side of the police.
JackyB not sure what your comment meant.

I wonder if JackyB was alluding to the way the media can never simply report someone as "a woman", or "a man", but have to insert the word "grandmother", "grandfather" etc. I sometimes wonder whether they even bother to check that someone is a grandmother/grandfather, but merely assume they are because of their age. Just to make sure everyone knows this person is old (as if being 104 doesn't tell you that!)

I imagine at 104 this lady may be an aunt, a sister, a mother, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. Does it matter?

Lemongrove I'd rather see something like that than a pic of a poor soul bruised and battered by a scumbag !! What say you ?
