You use the word ' HATE ' which is in fact the crux of the argument behind most comments about not only individual Tory MP's but about Tories in general
POGS - very well said. Thank you.
I have shuddered that people feel so strongly that they 'hate' certain groups. I was reminded of the nastiness and lack of reason after vile people strung up effigies of 'Tories' and dangled them over a bridge during the Conservative Party conference.
I really fear such nasty people with criminal intent in their hearts ever having the party they support being in government.
I am nothing like Jacob Rees-Mogg, our backgrounds couldn't be more different, yet he strikes me as a decent man of principle.
For some a public school background is enough grounds for hatred. Privilege of any sort is reason to hate. Wealthy people become targets of hatred - need I go on? I just don't get the politics of envy and hatred, yet we see it here even on GN, from an older generation. I have a strange socialist streak which runs beside my conservative one, perhaps because I am from the working classes, and I want fairness and honesty to prevail. JRM, so very different from me, plays with a straight bat.
JRM for me has always done his best to ensure we leave the EU. He feels as I do about our membership and he has stuck to his guns. He is a rare politician but for me, a good one. Parliament is all the richer imo for having him in its midst.
I await the haters tedious litany of JRM's faults.
