Six months extra might sound plenty of time to sort out Brexit, but Easter holidays, six weeks ummer recess, then three weeks party conference season, plus bank holidays will reduce it by nearly half.
Then there will be the distractions of local election campaigns at the beginning of May followed by European elections at the end of May.
Then there is the possibility of a Tory leadership campaign which will confuse the issue of which route to take. A new Tory leader would solve nothing anyway as the problem is the Withdrawal Agreement/deal going through Parliament.
If there is a chance of a People’s Vote that would need several months of planning and legislation.
A general election would need a month or so minimum.
I can see us being in the same position teetering on the edge of No Deal again in October.
