This story is currently on the BBC website, but I'm not going to put a link because there are all sorts of rules concerning time elapse between a court case and publication.

A man has been jailed for four and a half years and told he will be monitored in the community for 3 years after his release because of sex attacks which happened 11 years apart.

Given that the second attack happened this year (first was in 2008), I can't understand why he wouldn't be closely monitored until at least 2030.

It just doesn't make sense. confused

I’m amazed with our laws at the moment he’s being monitored at all!

He should be monitored for the rest of his life, he’s a sexual predator.
