Yet another mass shooting in USA

It is so sad that the first thing I thought when I saw this on the news was not 'oh, how terrible for the people and families concerned' it was more 'oh, well, another one, they will never learn'. This will soon disappear from the news for all of us apart from those directly effected. Yet again, Trump has blamed mental illness, presumably because he can't blame it on a convenient foreign terrorist. This demonises those with mental illness and the irony is that he overturned the conditions set by Obama that certain mental health conditions excluded citizens from obtaining a fire arm. I don't really know what there is to discuss to be honest as this happens so often, but I just wondered if others felt the same as I did?

But Gill, mental illness does cause people to do horrendous things sometimes. I don’t think mental illness is being demonised, it is a fact that some mentally ill people do commit awful crimes. It happens in the U.K. too, but usually in a much smaller way ie one victim opposed to many, but one victim is still one too many.
The real problem is the gun laws in the USA. People can acquire guns too easily and it would appear with little in the way of checks in my opinion, and probably the opinion of us all in Britain.
