Sales of Weapons to Saudi Arabia

I'd say keep out of Middle East politics and arms deals, bad as it is. I can't understand this country's attachment to Saudi Arabia----apart from the oil. Egypt is another country who we sell arms to.

It was once said that this is an illegal process. Maybe we should get the " spider " lady onto it concerning the legalities etc.

When TM was in power her " excuse " was that deals were done to keep the streets of Britain safe ??

I dont think anyone is surprised ...we will be quick to deny any link to deaths of civilians though .The bits we sell them wont be essential to kill people just destroy property ....and they'll expect us to believe them...and many will !

Of course it must be an oil thing. And it would be great if “spiderwoman” could do something - but as you say, the Middle East is such a “minefield” (!)...

I just feel we should be at the very, very least not breaking international law. And I do feel the loss of innocent lives is deplorable wherever and whenever it occurs.

I wish there was something I could do.

Our enemy's enemy is our friend has been responsible for the lack of morality in foreign policy of most nations. It has been responsible for most of the wars over the past 75years and it is time we ditched it.

This has been going on for years behind the scenes but sometimes it comes to public notice. Apparently British companies do rather well from arms sales.

I have been in contact with my MP about this for a long time. She has tried many times to get answers from the minister but has only been assured that the sales complied with the law. It seems they didn't.

... and of course no heads will roll for this money-making and repeated "administrative error".
