Just that really.

Gina Miller will be advising the best way and who to vote for.

I’ll post it as it comes into notice.

In a general election you vote for who you want for PM Its about polices not just Brexit. What is the point of voting tactically not something I would do.

SirChenjin Wed 30-Oct-19 08:36:00

Thanks Whitewavemark2, I'll look out for your post

Whitewavemark2 Wed 30-Oct-19 08:44:51

grany I am a strong Labour supporter, and as it happens my MP will almost certainly get re-elected. He is a strong remainer. So I will vote Labour.

But if I lived in a seat that was say a marginal between the Lib Dem’s and Tory’s I would not vote for the Labour candidate but for the Lib Dem’s.

To my mind the damage that has been done and will continue to be done to our welfare state, NHS, education etc is immeasurable and must not be allowed to continue.

It is also vital for me that we either remain or leave with a soft deal.

The most important thing is to keep Johnson (who on earth would vote for such an immoral man?) from the premiership.

lemongrove Wed 30-Oct-19 08:48:22

Ooh yes, personally I don’t do anything at all without checking what Gina Miller has to say on the subject!
Don’t be sheep.

lemongrove Wed 30-Oct-19 08:50:09

If you have a good MP hang onto him/her .....they are rare beings.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 30-Oct-19 08:50:10

Oh lemon that is exactly what we won’t be by voting tactically.

Or perhaps you’ve never given that any thought

grapefruitpip Wed 30-Oct-19 08:50:46

sheep? There are an awful lot of them about.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 30-Oct-19 08:53:11

I would only vote for my MP If I believed in his/her parties policies regardless of how good a constituent mp they were.

Otherwise you vote them in and help the party that you entirely disagree with

Makes no sense

lemongrove Wed 30-Oct-19 08:54:29

Of course I have WWM2 but believe in voting for the MP and Party that you believe is the best, not voting for a Party that you have no interest in.
Is Gina Miller your guru? All she is interested in is stopping Brexit and not getting the LP into power.

Alexa Wed 30-Oct-19 09:03:39

My reasons for voting for labour candidate are the same as Whitewavemark's. Labour will almost certainly get in and I do like her a lot I think everybody likes her. If I voted from my heart I'd vote Green candidate if there is one.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 30-Oct-19 09:07:20

Oh dear lemon

I suggest to those who are considering voting tactically to look at the information Miller is going to post to help them whom to decide who to vote for and suddenly Miller is my guru.

You’ll have to do better than that

Oopsminty Wed 30-Oct-19 09:08:00

Why on earth would I care what Gina Miller has to say.

And no. I would never vote tactically is I was a Remainer or a Leaver

EllanVannin Wed 30-Oct-19 09:12:14

Well, Angela Eagle has tried her best over the years to convert me so this time, for the first time ever in my life, I'll be supporting her-----she'll be pleased to know. smile
No doubt she'll give me a knock nearer the time. No Con MP ever bothered !!

GrannyGravy13 Wed 30-Oct-19 09:14:28

If you have a good constituency MP, who cares about the area, fights for local causes and local people would you vote tactically?

You could end up with a "bussed in" candidate with no local knowledge or empathy with the area?

I may be synical, but really are there that many "altruistic" voters out there?

lemongrove Wed 30-Oct-19 09:14:43

Well, it certainly looks that way WWM2 since you put your faith in her.
You do realise that all she wants is the Party who wants to stop Brexit....(the Lib Dems) to do well? She isn’t interested in the LP.Not at all.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 30-Oct-19 09:21:01

Duh!! You would be a bit thick not to know that lemon

The most important thing is to keep the Tory out of office for many, many, many reasons, which will become obvious as the election progresses

Callistemon Wed 30-Oct-19 09:21:31

I live in a constituency which voted remain narrowly, but our Conservative MP supports leave.
Last time I voted Lib Dem and they normally do quite reasonably here but have never been elected (it has veered from Conservative to Labour and back again).
The Lib Dem candidate, although well-known, sank right down in the polls last time.

Work that one out, Gina, and let me know what to do!

Don't just vote on one issue.

Callistemon Wed 30-Oct-19 09:22:28

Sank right down in the results, not polls!

I need more tea.

craftyone Wed 30-Oct-19 09:27:40

I have already looked up online to see how my mp voted on every issue, not just leaving. Overall I have to say that I am pleased with perfprmance, the only issue I don`t agree with is the vote on high speed rail but I can live with that. He is getting my vote again. Who on earth in their right mind would be a sheep?

lemongrove Wed 30-Oct-19 09:28:51

High time that Gina Miller accepted the inevitable!

Whitewavemark2 Wed 30-Oct-19 09:29:44

Reasons to vote tactically.

14m in poverty
4m kids in poverty
726 homeless deaths in 2018
Record 1.6m food bank parcels
Food banks in schools
NHS/social care in meltdown
130000 deaths through austerity
Handing the NHS to Trump

This can’t go on. Vote tactically and get the Tories out.

growstuff Wed 30-Oct-19 09:31:00

As it happens lemongrove, the Green candidate in my constituency is a personal friend and I agree almost 100% with her values. She'd make a fantastic constituency MP, but she doesn't stand a hope in hell of ever being elected. She feels blessed if she doesn't lose her deposit when she stands. Voting for her is no more than a token vote.

I will vote for the person (or party) most likely to topple our totally useless Tory MP - unfortunately, it's a bit of a vain hope. That's what real life politics in a FPTP system has to be all about.

lemongrove Wed 30-Oct-19 09:31:58

Is that you or Gina Miller speaking??

growstuff Wed 30-Oct-19 09:32:20

Loads of people are sheep - I've met quite a few of them!
