There is clearly something he doesn’t want the voter to know about, otherwise why suppress such an important report?

Row in the House of Lords about Johnson suppressing the Security Committee’s report on Russian interference in British politics. Minister refuses to commit to publish before the election

varian Mon 04-Nov-19 15:47:10

Could it be that the release of this report exposing Russian interference in the fraudulent referendum?

Whitewavemark2 Mon 04-Nov-19 15:48:30

Almost certainly varian

We can only hope it will backfire - big time. He will be over ridden and the document will be published in days - or it will be leaked. In fact, if it is not- it could be even more damaging to Boris.

Nonnie Mon 04-Nov-19 16:56:06

He has got away with so much he thinks he is fireproof and maybe he is right.

SirChenjin Mon 04-Nov-19 17:37:12

He's hiding the fire that's currently engulfing his lying pants.

I hope that this will all come out, no matter how hard he tries to suppress it, and as with everything that Boris puts his mucky paws on, it won't look good.

Davidhs Mon 04-Nov-19 18:28:48

He is gambling on a new parliament overturning the ban on “no deal” and plans to crash out of the EU. That is the only reason for calling an election, the could have started negotiating trade through the Withdrawl Agreement but that was just for show

EllanVannin Mon 04-Nov-19 18:52:37

I knew there'd be jiggery-pokery afoot with this man. The master of gerrymandering.

M0nica Mon 04-Nov-19 19:33:39

The secret is probably that the Russians didn't interfere in our election because they decided that, as a failed world power, and failing European power, we weren't worth wasting their time on.

SirChenjin Mon 04-Nov-19 19:38:10

I like it M0nica - can you imagine the humiliation he and his cronies would face?!

jura2 Mon 04-Nov-19 19:39:30

it will probably blow up in his face, and his pants - and that will be well deserved.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 04-Nov-19 19:48:33

jura2 Are you eligible to vote in UK General Election, just curious as our Swedish and Danish family members cannot?

Whitewavemark2 Mon 04-Nov-19 20:25:53

Johnson doesn't want you to know the nature and extent of Kremlin interference in our democracy and politics before #GE2019. Ask yourselves why

jura2 Mon 04-Nov-19 20:28:41

Yes, I can- as we have lived abroad for 10 years. You can't vote if you have been out of UK for 15+ years.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 04-Nov-19 20:30:50

Thank you jura2 I know that you have said you are now living in Switzerland, just wasn’t sure on the whole timescale.

varian Mon 04-Nov-19 20:37:02

Tom Tughentadt, the Conservative chairman of the Defence Select Committee, has said that it is vital that this report is published without further delay.

jura2 Mon 04-Nov-19 20:45:21

Watch Dispatches on Channel 4 now.

M0nica Mon 04-Nov-19 20:53:29

whitewave, my post above tells you why!grin

Pantglas2 Mon 04-Nov-19 20:58:49

Very interesting programme jura2 especially the summing up!

boat Mon 04-Nov-19 21:21:33

Yes I agree.

It looks on the surface as though Al (Boris) doesn't want us to know that the Russians swung the referendum vote but I have been trying to look at this from the point of view of Dominic Cummings (a struggle I assure you).

It's just about possible that although there was some influence it was not overwhelming. So Al can hold off until he is, "Forced", to reveal the report and can say, "See! They are always maligning me but I am squeaky clean

grapefruitpip Mon 04-Nov-19 21:24:21

What is he hiding? His huge and superior intelligence.

We used to hear a lot about how clever he is.

Hetty58 Mon 04-Nov-19 21:37:10

But not clever enough to fool all of the people all of the time!
For those considering voting for him:

"There are two types of Conservative voters, the rich and the misguided. To find out which one you are, check your wallet."
