So all the figures on the front of newspapers are just Tory fiction - again. Following in the tradition of doctored adverts we now get doctored figures. Although I imagine that was obvious to everybody.

When I wonder will we get the next work of Tory fiction - their promises and costings?

Shocking isn’t it?

Also saw some Tory chinless wonder being interviewed by a young blonde reporter last night (sorry about stereotypes but it’s relevant) she tied him in knots.

He was spouting on about the cost of Labours promises (which hasn’t in fact been settled yet) and when pushed and pushed and pushed by this bright young lady about the total cost of Tory promises he could only splutter and waffle until she put him out of his misery by saying ‘so you’ve had time to cost out Labour’s agenda but not your own’ and he had to agree ???

It is actually worse than it first seemed. Listening to the radio this morning it appears that, following the immediate success of the numbers on the bus in the leave campaign, the ERG Tories are very happy with the coverage and don't actually care if the figures are right or wrong as long people are talking about them. They are innate liars. How on earth can anyone trust them? Has every Tory voter got a lucky charm in their pocket which they rub hoping nothing this party says will actually turn out to affect them?

That is the fundamental point GG

The other day I spoke to a neighbour. She is a noce person , not a nasty person but she voted leave because she reads a newspaper which to;ld her to vote leave. She thinks BJ is better than TM because he is "optimistic, positive, enthusiastic". It seems to make no difference to her that he is a proven liar. I don't think she is a habitual liar but she thinks it is OK for "good old Boris" to lie because he can get away with it and anyway her newspaper slags off all the oppostion and she thinks all politicians lie
