No I couldn’t face it so I watched The Queen on Netflix.

I have already sent off my postal vote for BJ. Off to bed now and will listen to the news tomorrow summing it all up. Like many others I am Brexited Out. ?

It was the same as usual- where is the money coming from for their grandiose ideas? I could not bear to see either as our MP.

The most interesting part was in the spin room when a young woman commented that there was nothing for her generation. It was interesting because we have been told that it is Generation X who will decide this election.

Never has the term "between a rock and a hard place" been so relevant.

So, Johnsons reply to 'how would we be better off after brexit' was something about animal welfare, the tampon tax and something about having free ports. The fact check disproved the free ports statement and Germany have just scrapped the tampon tax. Blow me, I hadn't realised Germany had left the EU before us....

Well Boris dragged up Brexit at every opportunity, it was the answer to all the problems. Did you notice how he looked embarrassed and uncomfortable when asked the question what punishment should you get for lying in an election?

On the whole I think JC came out of it as an adult and believable. How can Boris honour his promises and cut taxes?

I didn’t watch it, for the first time in my life I’m not going to vote, can’t bear any of them! If we had a decent independent I’d vote for them, but we haven’t.

I’m struggling here Sara65 - we don’t have a green candidate. Labour and tories are neck and neck with no hope for lib democrats and Plaid Cymru so what am I going to do? There ought to be a box with ‘Undeserving’ next to it - I’d tick that in an instant.

The pro Brexit argument is almost completely incoherent now. It started with a mass attraction to nationalism and protectionism but having won over a core group with these slogans. "We want our country back" (we hadn't lost it but no one worried to much about that) to globalization and liberalisation. It shifted from an argument about immigration to one about trade policy. Now we learn that the Tory Brexit will bring more immigration. It will just be from other countries.

As for us winning any sort of trade war, the whole idea is madness. There are three major trade blocks, The U.S., The EU and China. We will not belong to any of them. We cannot viably "go it alone", even as the fifth or six largest economy we have none of the "clout" these blocks have.

Perhaps that is what those still thinking leaving the EU is right for our country, want obscurity, want poverty, and want a limited world role. As I said, the argument is completely incoherent.

I agree, the tories have a massive majority here, so me not voting is unlikely to have an affect unless a lot of people feel the same.

Me, my husband and our three adult children have always voted conservative, this time it will only be my husband, but that’s more to do with fearing a country with Corbyn in charge.

Most people consider Corbyn more trustworthy than Johnson.

Mind you Johnson sets a pretty low bar.
