If he is a racist how come the Brexit Party has at least or possibly more diversity in its candidates than other parties? He is concerned (as are many) about numbers entering the country which has nothing to do with race.

You used the term 'racist' which usually refers to humans and that's what I took it to mean unless you meant something else.

People from ethnic minority backgrounds can be as racist as anybody else.

As for Farage … the sooner he toddles off to the US with a one-way ticket, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

He sacrificed his political career? I don't remember him ever being elected to parliament. I agree about his influence and have always said he's not the lovable jolly chap he makes himself to be but someone far more cunning and dangerous. He has been taking home a wage for being an MEP and hardly sitting in Brussels. He supports right wing groups in Europe and speaks at their rallies. He shafted the people who paid to represent his party company. He's now sucking up to Trump, yet again. If we don't mention him, maybe it's because some of us want to try to forget him, just as we walk out of the room if he's on the tv or switch the radio off when we hear his voice because he nauseates us.

Labaik I could not agree more- he rarely visited Brussels for meetings and was well paid for shirking.

He admires Putin and says the ‘Syrian thing was excellent’ he thinks that climate change is a scam, he feels uncomfortable hearing people talking in another language he quotes Enoch Powell’s rivers of blood speech as admirable He has bragged about taking 2 million of taxpayers money in expenses

By the way, can anyone fill me in with how much of a pension he will get from the EU, even though he was rarely there? The people I respect are MP's like Dominic Grieve who left their jobs that they had devoted their lives to on principle because they despised Johnson; ditto those Labour MP's that left the party because they didn't like the way the party was heading. They had everything to lose and nothing to gain but stood up for what they thought was right.

Regardless of his,politics, I never could stand the man. He's always reminded me of a spivvy used car salesman.

Chestnut, you were right, it’s provoked more bile spitting from the remainers. The thing that confuses me, is all the bad stuff was already here, and has been for decades, being in the EU. I could understand it if we’d had a perfect country and now we’re going to ruin it by electing in Boris and co, but we haven’t. The NHS for example, was in trouble in the early eighties, when I was a nurse, and always has been. All politicians are questionable, it won’t just be Farage with a fat pension! I’m just up for trying something new, because what we’ve had isn’t working.
