Borrowed from a Friend on FB. Just to make people clear of what, as a nation, we have voted for:

In his first four days as Prime Monster of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has:

Cut the disability benefits of 650,000 vulnerable humans.

Rolled back on plans to address the climate change emergency.

Banned any boycott of Israel and supported their renewed offensive against the unarmed civilians of Gaza.

Removed child refugee legal protections.

Rolled back his pledge to increase nurses for the NHS.

Told us that the NHS is no longer protected from a trade deal with the US.

Told us that future deals will be conducted in secret.

Blocked anyone without photo ID from voting in future elections.

Drafted new constituency boundaries to keep the Tories in power indefinitely.

Dismissed renewed calls for a second Scottish independence referendum causing further disharmony.

Stated that workers rights and Trade Unions are under threat.

Rolled back pledge to increase the national living wage.

Announced an increase in MP’s wages to £82k a year

Scrapped EU directives on holiday pay, sick leave and working hours.

Stated that Brexit is happening by the the 31st of January with the worst no-deal scenario yet.

same old, same old from the same one, same one

May you find cheer and happy times in 2020. May your cup be half full, for a change

Happy christmas

jannxxx Tue 24-Dec-19 13:13:16

we don't expect any less they promise the moon get in and do the opposite, but I don't think wed have been better off with Corbyn

GagaJo Tue 24-Dec-19 13:13:25

My cup IS full. But there are thousands in the UK who aren't so lucky. I support them.

If we stop caring, we stop being human.

Opal Tue 24-Dec-19 13:16:41

You forgot one:-
15. Santa is due to fly across the heavens tonight, pulled by eight reindeers and deliver presents to all the little boys and girls in the world.

All of the above points are fairytales.

Jabberwok Tue 24-Dec-19 13:32:12

All that inside two weeks. Superman indeed!!!!! [ shock]
Sorry, definitely prefer Boris to President Xi! Lets see -Abysmal human rights record particularly the re education camps for those pesky Muslims? doesn't sound a bundle of laughs, criticism of the government? asking for a load of trouble if you do! No free elections, in fact no presidential elections at all! Think I'll stick to dear old Briton, warts and all!!

Grany Tue 24-Dec-19 14:18:21

Yes it's shameful yet some grans on here think it's fairly tales more like a horror

climate emergency?

Selling off our NHS?
Trade deals with Trump

Septimia Tue 24-Dec-19 14:19:56

Boris bashing again.

He might not be wonderful but he's better than the alternative and doesn't look as miserable.

All political parties promise to do things they can't achieve, so what's new? And most of us do care.

Happy Christmas everyone, peace and joy to all!!

BlueBelle Tue 24-Dec-19 14:44:03

Amazing that some are so blind they do not want to see but time will show unfortunately and it won’t be something to rejoice in I probably won’t be around to see it
Thankfully every one of my grandkids have European or another country passport and birth certificates so hopefully they won’t be as restricted as many others on here grandkids and my advice to them will be don’t stick around to wait for the crumble if you get an opportunity take it with both hands
My country of birth seems as alien as anywhere on earth to me now Very very sad

MiniMoon Tue 24-Dec-19 14:52:02

It's Christmas Eve for goodness sake.
Haven't you got any thing better to do GagaJo.
Scaremongering and room and gloom!

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

MiniMoon Tue 24-Dec-19 14:53:12

Doom and gloom!

DoraMarr Tue 24-Dec-19 14:57:26

Jabberwock I don’t think that was the choice, was it? President Xi or the Conservatives?

Starblaze Tue 24-Dec-19 15:05:30

GagJo, this was never going to go well. The Great British public in general would rather cut off their own arm than admit they were wrong

GagaJo Tue 24-Dec-19 15:06:10

Really Opal?

All the points are things that have been passed in the HOC.

I agree, it's a farce, but even I wouldn't go as far as calling it a fairytale.

Jane10 Tue 24-Dec-19 15:13:07

For goodness sake stop the melodramatic catastrophising. Something had to change or we'd be stuck in the stalemate forever and the economy would nosedive.

Davidhs Tue 24-Dec-19 15:15:16

You ain’t seen nothing yet, this is the season of goodwill, the real nastiness starts after the New Year

FlyingSolo Tue 24-Dec-19 15:17:43

I can't get any of the links to work. Every one I tried said page unavailable

Oldwoman70 Tue 24-Dec-19 15:20:46

GagaJo Will you be posting your daily anti-Boris thread tomorrow or will you be giving it a rest for the day?

lavenderzen Tue 24-Dec-19 15:21:30

Is the OP someone else with a new name - just wondering!

MadeInYorkshire Tue 24-Dec-19 15:32:38

When you are someone relying on said Disability Benefits and know some of these people it is horrifying, and is definitely NOT a fairytale! They have deliberately moved the goalposts so that people like myself don't get the assistance they need - there by the Grace of God go you that voted for this terrible party - I hope one day that you or your family are not hit by a sudden change of health or circumstance and need the help of the state (that you have actually paid for by the way!) because if you do, you will realise what is happening to us "useless eaters" and it isn't pleasant!! Look what they have done to Thomas Cook employees ....

Jabberwok Tue 24-Dec-19 15:32:46

GagaJo has in the past praised how things are run in China, a far better system, apparently, than the UK. I was just pointing out few disturbing discrepancies kept firmly under wraps of course!!!

The articles are good but the links got abbreviated, can’t be bothered to correct them myself because leavers think the sun is shining where it shouldn’t.

Jabberwok Tue 24-Dec-19 15:38:12

SC somehow sounds familiar , but I could be wrong!

MerylStreep Tue 24-Dec-19 15:46:45

Doesn't really matter, does it. They all support the party that took a crushing defeat.
