Priti Patel seems to be in deep water. Bullying, payoffs , paying OH for ‘part time ‘ work. Etc etc. Can we trust any of our politicians? She denies it all. I smoke without fire!

Horrible women but her PM is supporting her, so that’s alright then?

To be fair to PP, when she employed her husband - and there is no suggestion that he did not do the work he was paid for - many MPs employed family and friends in their offices. In most cases there was never any suggestion that the work was not done or overpaid. Many MPs found it very convenient to use their partner as their in-constituency representative. This is not now allowed.

Having said that, she has had a reputation for a long time for being a difficult and bullying person - and none to bright.

It will be interesting to see what the upcoming Industrial Tribunal reveals. It is not looking too good for Priti at the moment, there appears to be quite a few disgruntled staff.

It is an internal enquiry organised by the PM. Outcome alredy decided.
We need a public enquiry

As Philip Rutnam is claiming Constrctive Dismissal, I presume there will be an Industrial Tribunal. But, yes, there should also be a completely independant enquiry, which will give other staff an opportunity to voice their concerns.

Sorry that should be Independent!

Cabinet Office enquiry promised

Industrial Tribunal, legal wheels already in motion.

Two completely different things.

Ugandan Asians were all, economic migrants- who then went on to exploit other Indian immigrants they considered 'lower class/caste'.
