Tim Davie on his 2nd day in his new role has announced Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia shall be sung at the proms.
Fantastic news.
Does this mean the end of all the “woke”nonsense at the BBC?

It would be wonderful, wouldn’t it? I saw in the paper that someone “wished that the woke generation had never woken up”!

The best state broadcaster to have is one that does its master’s bidding

Its masters Being the British public?

I find it odd that the decision was taken not to perform/sing Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem knowing that a new DG would be taking over before the Last Night and likely to want to stamp his mark.

Tony Hall could have sat on the fence instead have digging in his heels and creating a fuss about nothing.

I think the proms singing is a dead cat.

There's a far more important agenda.

Which us why the first thing any authoritarian government does is to take control of state media.

Ah well! If the BBC still remains too "woke" for some, they can always tune into Fox News.

That dead cat keeps cropping up every time the Proms is mentioned.

It's more like a dead horse now.
