Just had to say this:
Aaaaarggghhhh!
Just spent way too long shouting at the TV!

Wasn't she awful? So condescending, and the way she talked over others was really rude.

She didn't answer the questions, and reminded me of the Piers Morgan interview with Matt Hancock that is going the rounds just now - the one where Hancock kept repeating a pre-rehearsed phrase ad nauseam in the hope that the time will run out.

There is not usually much disagreement when it comes to feeding hungry children. Even their core supporters are likely to have been shouting at the TV, too. I don't know how politicians think that they will get away with this sort of thing. It might get them off the hook when it comes to awkward questions, but the audience doesn't like being treated like that and won't forget.

NotSpaghetti - you said it! Aaaaarggghhh...
And she was smirking at times, just like her leader.

I’m afraid I just found her real-life hand-wringing and her simpering, outrageous. The hands really did do the wringing! She is not at all suited to this role.

I wish the cameras had focused in on the audience as she was talking - when it did, you could see that they could hardly believe what they were hearing.

I’m afraid her act made me unbelievably cross.

You have put it into words so well - hand wringing and simpering! I too was shouting at the TV.

Did anyone notice that there was an awful lot of shaking of heads from the zoom audience when she was speaking?

honeyrose Fri 15-Jan-21 09:47:33

I also noticed that Vicky Ford had a very wearisome attitude about her. Fiona Bruce and the Leicester MP (can’t remember his name) did interrupt her a lot too - but she wasn’t always answering the question directly.

The truth is she needed interrupting! She was insufferable Honeyrose...And took “not answering the question” to a whole new level!

honeyrose Fri 15-Jan-21 10:44:52

I agree - Vicky Ford was extremely evasive.

Vicky Ford was utterly cringible and.,.of course I may be wrong. but she did not seem to me to be perfectly sober.

I thought she looked very bored and not totally engaged. Not sure about her sobriety, but there was something about her demeanour that troubled me.

It was a real car crash of an appearance, what a vile woman. I too noticed all the heads shaking on the screens as they disagreed with what she was saying. Why can't politicians just admit they made a mistake, will remedy it, and move on?

Ilovecheese Mon 18-Jan-21 13:54:46

I too thought she looked a little tired and emotional.

Doodledog Mon 18-Jan-21 14:19:40

Now you mention it, that could explain some of her rambling and repetition.
