Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner don’t let their Secret Service security team use their WCs.

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner apparently don’t let the people protecting them using any of their seven toilets. At one point they had to put a portaloo on the pavement outside their house.
Then the neighbours complained.

Eventually the agents came up with a solution and rented a basement with a loo across the road from the Trump/Kushner house. This has cost over $100,000 since September 2017.

You couldn’t make it up.

They've become so divorced from reality it really doesn't surprise me.

GagaJo Fri 15-Jan-21 09:35:44

Just read that NotSpaghetti. The Trumps are ridiculous.

Niobe Fri 15-Jan-21 09:54:58

And Ivanka has the gall to think she could be a future President!!

vampirequeen Fri 15-Jan-21 09:56:49

Total arrogance.

GagaJo Fri 15-Jan-21 09:59:12

Not to mention ignorance. Do they think their s**t is diamond encrusted, while the SS, people who actually have an important function, are beneath them?

Callistemon Fri 15-Jan-21 10:09:56

Chewbacca

They've become so divorced from reality it really doesn't surprise me.

Just who do they think they are?
The reality is that they have to use the loo like anyone else

I hope they are being investigated too.

Ivanka Trump: How Dare You Investigate My Father For Tax Fraud, Which He Definitely Didn’t Use Me To Commit

So, Ivanka, you are saying that your father did commit tax fraud? But that he didn't use you to do so?

Jane43 Fri 15-Jan-21 10:13:00

Apparently there are 7.5 bathrooms in their house.

GagaJo Fri 15-Jan-21 10:15:09

So, the .5 bathroom couldn't have been for the SS?

Riverwalk Fri 15-Jan-21 10:17:19

Presumably none of the security team will voluntarily 'take a bullet' for them!

Nortsat Fri 15-Jan-21 10:20:48

It’s such vulgar behaviour and shows a complete lack of respect for the men and women whose job it is to protect them.
These men and women have been trained to put themselves in harms way, to protect ‘the first daughter’ (as she styles herself) and her appalling husband.

I don’t think it’s legal, as an employer to deny your staff toilet breaks. How dare they inflict such indignity on public servants.

I just go from disgusted, to more disgusted, to outraged with that President and his rag-bag entourage.

glammanana Fri 15-Jan-21 10:27:12

Unbelievable behaviour you couldn't make it up could you ?

Callistemon Fri 15-Jan-21 10:28:50

vulgar

Sums them all up

NotSpaghetti Fri 15-Jan-21 10:30:57

Nortsat - I don’t think they prevent them from having toilet breaks - just prevented them from using their toilets.

Rosie51 Fri 15-Jan-21 12:48:17

Yes they are vulgar and arrogant. The thing I don't understand is how they're not embarrassed by Trump's outlandish behaviour. Too many incidents to list (especially during his Corona virus briefings, bleach anyone?) but one that comes to mind is that interview where he claimed to have outperformed all comers on an IQ test which is actually one used to determine early dementia....... the one where he remembered 5 words in the correct order and the doctors were amazed! Surely you'd feel embarrassed by your father publicly exhibiting his total lack of any credibility or self awareness, but they just don't seem to care. I suppose the money and power outweighs everything else. It's said Ivanka has political ambitions, the first female POTUS?

Rosie51 Fri 15-Jan-21 12:50:18

Niobe sorry I missed your post, you'd already raised Ivanka's political ambitions.

Jane43 Fri 15-Jan-21 12:50:43

It’s a reflection of the way they’ve been raised isn’t it? Somebody who was at school with Ivanka said she complained about having to read a set text by Steinbeck, presumably ‘The Grapes Of Wrath’ and asked why she had to read about poor people. Contrast this with Princes William and Harry being taken by their mother at a very young age to homeless shelters because she wanted them to see the reality of some people’s lives and appreciate how lucky they were.

Callistemon Fri 15-Jan-21 14:25:06

I did wonder if it was concern about Covid but then decided not as they weren't concerned enough to wear masks when mixing with others.

Alexa Fri 15-Jan-21 14:31:03

Kushner and I. Trump really are 'non-U' are they not! They are quite boring people, unlike Father Trump who at least is interestingly outrageous.

Esspee Fri 15-Jan-21 14:40:52

I recently had some men working outside. I told them to let me know when they needed tea or coffee or something heated up and that I would clean the downstairs bathroom for their sole use.
Apparently this is unusual as many people do not allow workmen to use their toilets.(nothing to do with the pandemic). I was shocked.

Nortsat Fri 15-Jan-21 14:54:44

NotSpaghetti, their Secret Service detail, was/is often required to be in the Kushner's home and grounds. Thus to put them in a position where they are unable to go to the toilet in their place of work, is an outrageous indignity. It’s also a potential cause for a legal grievance. Clean, safe and reasonable access to toilet facilities is part of basic employment rights. Otherwise the service would not have spent c$100,000 dollars renting a basement studio apartment to create toilet facilities for their workforce.

The Washington Post reported that the Secret Service detail would sometimes go to the Obama’s home to use the toilet facilities there!

Alexa Fri 15-Jan-21 15:44:52

Esspee, why would they be like that? Is it a form of prudery not wanting strange hairy men where you do your business?

Esspee Fri 15-Jan-21 15:54:36

You’re asking the wrong person Alexa. I consider it common decency to allow anyone in need the use of a W.C.

I have a girlfriend who found her bathroom smelling lovely after a tradesman had been using it. Turns out he had considerately and generously used her highly expensive spray perfume to mask any unpleasant smells.

Charleygirl5 Fri 15-Jan-21 16:09:19

They have sufficient bathrooms to allocate one for female and the other for male use. They had 3 bathrooms left over- what was the problem?

I was happy for builders etc to use my two loos- I just did not like any of them using my lovely towels but that was easily rectified.

Sarnia Fri 15-Jan-21 16:35:12

I read somewhere that when the Trump clan took over from Barack & Michelle Obama, they insisted on the loo seats being replaced. Might not be true but I wouldn't mind betting it is.
