Tory Policy

I thought that as well as concentrating on incompetence and lies we ought to be looking at the harm that may and is being done as a result of Tory policy.

I’ll kickstart with this

Being reported by Yorkshire Live

Fisherman living off £100 per month as so much sewage has been pumped into British seawater “everything is dead for miles”.

That would also probably explain the hundreds of dead seabirds washed up on the beaches.

Tories want to copy the “Academy Chain” school model for the NHS.

The purpose is clear. Academy chain bosses rake in £300,000+ in salaries. This is about creating more fat cats & cronies.

A read statement last week by a Yorkshire vet practice advising people not to walk their dogs on the beach due to a high incidence of dogs with severe vomiting and diarrhoea. The one common link was they’d all been playing on the beach and in the water just hours before becoming ill.

Patels policy of shipping asylum seekers to Ghana has been told in no uncertain terms to bugger off by the Ghana’s President.

How embarrassing.

There's far too many to list IMO but here's one - letting the water companies get away with their sewage dumping practices. My understanding is that nearly all waterways are affected which means that a wide variety and number of wildlife will be affected, as well as humans and our pets. The companies have the funds but they'd rather pay dividends because they just don't care.

Increasing poverty borne out by the increase in food banks everywhere.

Christian Wakeford (Bury) has defected to Labour. Says the Conservatives are doing nothing to help the people of his constituency!

Whitewavemark2 Wed 19-Jan-22 12:04:00

Johnson is finished isn’t he?

Now the worry is what next?

EllanVannin Wed 19-Jan-22 12:08:30

How shocking is this ? Surely it's not going to last ?
I wish the lot of them in Parliament would stop yapping and continually fighting amongst themselves and do something for their public for once.
This country is fast going to the dogs !

trisher Wed 19-Jan-22 12:09:31

Fuel poverty, private companies raking it in while people suffer. When will it be accepted that supplying energy is one of the basics and should be done on a not-for-profit basis. Everything else just screws things up.

EllanVannin Wed 19-Jan-22 12:10:29

Listen to them all on politics live, it's like a bear garden. How shameful !

trisher Wed 19-Jan-22 12:10:36

I do wonder about all those people who go swimming in the sea though- are they safe?

No they aren’t, how can they be?

It is. John Bercow would have had them sorted them out ?

Whitewavemark2 Wed 19-Jan-22 12:25:13

Johnson’s behaviour at PMQs is disgraceful.

Grannynannywanny Wed 19-Jan-22 12:28:29

Johnson will regret smirking and mocking Ian Blackford while he was speaking. There will be screenshots of his smirking face on all the news outlets later showing his appalling attitude.

I admire him greatly in taking this step for his constituents. He said the Tories were doing nothing for his constituents. At last, an MP with integrity. Apparently he has just crossed the floor of the H of C. I’d like to see more Tory MPs grow some backbone.

Did anyone see Boris looking at his watch? ?

Grannynannywanny Wed 19-Jan-22 13:06:07

Did anyone see Boris looking at his watch?

Yes, during his smirking episode while Ian Blackford was speaking.

I don’t think looking at your watch is a crime and to be honest Ian Blackford was not saying anything new
I don’t think they are the arch enemies they appear at PMQs

MayBee70 Wed 19-Jan-22 13:25:18

MP’s from all parties tend to have mutual respect for each other. Tony Benn told me he and Thatcher had a mutual respect. If I was a betting person I’d bet that no one in parliament has any respect for Johnson, even those that pretend they do. What is there to respect?

Grannynannywanny Wed 19-Jan-22 13:25:21

It’s certainly no crime to look at your watch. But he did it in a smirking and mocking fashion while Ian Blackford was speaking. I’m no fan of Blackford but I think Johnson’s behaviour showed him to be an uncouth oaf.

TopsyIrene06 Wed 19-Jan-22 13:26:59

Blackford talks about the people who have lost their lives and our PM looks bored, checks his watch and pulls a face. How anyone thinks this person is a suitable for office is beyond me.

Oh god, that was all over Twitter last night, what a humiliation.
