So, he's stepping down from "public duties"???

Can we assume he's going to get a job?

And doing what, exactly?

Gonegirl Wed 20-Nov-19 18:37:55

Yeah. What is he gonna do? confused

Anniebach Wed 20-Nov-19 18:41:20

Nothing he can do, no one will want to associate with him.

loopylou Wed 20-Nov-19 18:45:54

He'll do what he's spent much of his life doing, playing golf, skiing and enjoying freebie holidays and generally leading a playboy life minus any responsibilities and funded by the Civil List ?
And no more having to do interviews or meet the commoners.
Hideous individual, he's always made my flesh crawl.

grapefruitpip Wed 20-Nov-19 18:47:15

Annie, have you changed side now?

H1954 Wed 20-Nov-19 18:51:09

Mow the lawns?
Walk the corgis?
Oh, here's a novelty.............clean the Palace windows?

Jane43 Wed 20-Nov-19 18:51:26

His mega rich friends will probably continue to subsidise his lavish lifestyle.

Smileless2012 Wed 20-Nov-19 18:51:31

As long as we don't have to hear about it, see it, read about it or pay for it I really don't care.

Oopsminty Wed 20-Nov-19 18:51:58

Early retirement.

What an unholy mess

Poor Queen

Hear! Hear! Smileless, enough already!

Welshwife Wed 20-Nov-19 19:00:25

He is a helicopter pilot and instructor - maybe go for that - besides which he may well be getting a military pension.

Harris27 Wed 20-Nov-19 19:05:16

He should do something worthwhile but hey ho he will be off on holiday keeping his head down!till the next blunder.

Luckygirl Wed 20-Nov-19 19:08:18

Don't let's worry about him - he will be just fine.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 20-Nov-19 19:09:40

He can always downsize and raise some capital that way.

Chewbacca Wed 20-Nov-19 19:11:31

Stepping down? From what? He's never done a hard day's work in his life so how will we be able notice that he's "stepped down"? confused

Lisagran Wed 20-Nov-19 19:15:16

£250000 from mum and £20000 from Naval pension..........and?

M0nica Wed 20-Nov-19 19:17:52

Chewbacca he was in the navy and was doing a proper job when there, not just wafting around. He was a helicopter pilot and took part in that role in the Falklands War.

So to be fair to him, he has done quite a number of hard day's work and risked his life.

Navy friends tell me he was an arrogant thick B, even them

Grammaretto Wed 20-Nov-19 19:22:13

DH says I have an unhealthy fascination for PA. Perhaps I have. If so I'm not alone.

Let's forget him and worry about someone who needs our help.

There is always the U3A or one of those shooting parties he was on about.

Chewbacca Wed 20-Nov-19 21:19:49

With respect M0nica, he was a sub lieutenant in the Falklands in 1982 and he came out of the Navy in 2001. Since then he's done nothing of substance, unlike the thousands of other men and women who also risked, and gave their lives in the Falklands war and every other war since. He's long since used up any deserved respect or admiration for his efforts in the Forces.

EllanVannin Wed 20-Nov-19 21:28:48

Blimey he's no better than the sleaze-balls you read about----just richer and posher, which doesn't mean a thing.
Who cares what he'll do ? I'm sure I won't lose any sleep over it.

merlotgran Wed 20-Nov-19 21:34:37

Harry and Meghan must be rubbing their hands in glee.

EllanVannin Wed 20-Nov-19 21:39:55

He needs to step down-----in a big hole !

Irishlady Wed 20-Nov-19 21:45:13

Although I don't like any of the Queens sons, I do wish the media would stop referring to Andrew as her favourite son. I bet it doesn't make the other two feel very happy.

Chewbacca Wed 20-Nov-19 21:48:39

I'd love to know what the down-to-earth, tell-it-like-it-is, Princess Anne thinks of it all and says behind closed doors.
